Hi,

I submitted Rattlesnake Skin about six months ago, when we only had one release, and it got rejected on the grounds of the song being under 5 minutes long, making our whole discography too short to fit the guideline. No problem with the song was specified.
Now we put out a new release, recorded in a better studio, processed more professionally than before, it hit 1K views on YouTube in just over a week, without previous following, and now you're telling me it's rejected because the song is too rough and unprofessional?
What gives? Did you even hear the song?

Here is the link. Please reconsider.

Thank you,
Vic

That's actually not correct. That rejection message says:
Quote:
We have judged the band's digital release(s) to be too amateur/rough (ex. unprofessional rehearsal demos) or generally insufficient (ex. digital singles) according to our guidelines.

In this case the emphasis lies on the second part:
Quote:
generally insufficient (ex. digital singles) according to our guidelines.

Sure, we are more lenient with single as of recently, but unique artwork is pretty essential to us and both of your singles just use your logo as artwork, so we decided to wait for something more substantial before accepting your band. Sorry
