I am formally posting an appeal to the blacklisting of my band, Thornside. I am unaware of anything happening with my band that would cause us to be blacklisted for any reason currently. We are a death metal band prying influence from 90s death metal, deathcore, slam, and brutal death. We have a 5 song EP (The Burial) out as well as a 9 song album (White Lily). I appreciate the admins and moderators taking a look, and respectfully await the decision as to whether we can join the archives or not. Thank you!

Blacklisted for being a little too far on the non-metallic deathcore side of things.
Definitely really borderline, but not quite there. Sorry, but the blacklisting stays for now.
Feel free to bring it up again once a new release drops.

No worries! I appreciate the feedback. I guess I have a different definition of “blacklisting” than you guys. Usually (around here) that means you screwed up royal and means no one should work with you. For a minute there I was like “wait..... we haven’t pissed anyone off yet”. But thanks guys!

Well, we do blacklist bands that fuck up. If they use photoshop to fake a valid release to get into the archives, we blacklist them.
But on a general basis, 99% of the time, the blacklisting simply happens because we don't think a band is metal (enough) and to prevent others to resubmit the band over and over.
