Maybe i'm not the one to say it.. but.. there are a lot of bands heavier that Iron Maiden.. but that doesn't mean that the band is metal.. Hardcore, Post hardcore, mallcore.. even dark metal could be heavier than Iron Maiden... but not for being heavier is qualified to be in this encyclopedia... maybe some moderators are pompous and irritating but... they need to be in that way because is their job and almost always they are right

Iron Maiden Reminds me of Britney Spears. If Iron Maiden is on this site, Avenged Sevenfold should be too! They both play Trash metal but Avenged Sevenfold play better!

Oi out of curiosity, how often do people try and submit well-known core bands such as Killswitch and avenged and atreyu and sttuff?

I don't think there is any way to check. Since they are blacklisted such submissions never even make it into the queue.

(Killswitch Engage is on the site, btw.)

The images can't be accessed. They redirect to a page that says "Error 403: Access Denied/Forbidden".

For me, they're just linking to the main page of the site. Consider hosting them at a more reliable source such as http://www.imageshack.us or http://www.tinypic.com

It was nice knowing you, have fun in your new home. I hope they don't have any rules that need to be comprehended, you'd obviously be happier without.

Wow, calme tes nerfs mon grand. Tu racontes n'importe quoi.

I'd like to return briefly to that subject, because I forgot to write that his project "I Dream No More" released a split with the band "Dios Incandescente" in 2009, on a Chilean label called funerART ( http://www.myspace.com/funerarttheexperimentalul , http://www.funerart.org). I don't know if this label has worldwide distribution, but i in that case, would this be a legitimate side project?

 That's actually accurate though, but mongolian as "affected by Down's syndrome", rather than "living in Mongolia". The word's not really used much in English, but it's common Quebecois slang for someone or something being stupid. It's not really linked to the actual disease in people's minds anymore though, much like "idiot", "imbecile", "moron", "retarded" were once neutral technical terms to refer to people with mental disabilities and are now just generic insults.

Wait... WHAAAAAAAAT?!

lol, just kidding. No, the non-metal Stijn projects don't have worldwide distribution. However, why isn't Cold Aeon here? I think they should be, although they were never added here to begin with. They appear on Infra Sub Ultra. http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=220833

It's a physical release also for free download. I think it started off as free download, but any NULLL release can be purchased in CDr form from Stijn. And yes, Cold Aeon is one of the metal projects of Stijn (at least to my ears) - very droney funeral doom, in some ways like Beyond Black Void only a bit more spaced out and keyboard laden.

Lastly, sad to see the non-metal projects of Stijn get deleted off this site but there really was no reason to keep them here and no rule that would enable that to be so. None of the metal ones were removed by mistake or non-metal ones left here by mistake as well.

And Morrigan, lol... I personally prefer signatures that are funny instead of ones that prove the existence of retards, but what you have there is probably the "best of both worlds".

Yes, I wondered about why Cold Aeon isn't on MA too, they're like a psychedelic version of Beyond Black Void.
The track "Shapes" that is on the Infra Sub Ultra split can be downloaded here:
http://www.archive.org/details/Infra_Sub_Ultra

However, its curious that the non-metal project of SVC stayed here for so long even without a worldwide distribution :)

It's not my style to submit "core" bands, (i've submitted a couple though).. this time i submitted one that seemed to me that has more "melodic death" than metalcore or deathcore or whatever shit it is...
as i'm not used to this genres, i'd like to refine my criteria... is this an unacceptable core-kind band?
http://www.myspace.com/tietw
i hear on it a lot of melodeath influence in the music,.. the vocals sound very corish.

thanks for your time

AH! Mongoloid!

And that band, destruccion, is more -core than metal.

They're synonyms: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mongolian (though not noted in the first result)

Though yeah, mongoloid is the much more common form.

I don´t understand why the band "Scourge" has been rejected three times! The first article really the was incomplete but from the second all the information were there. Many bands that only released demos are here because a band that has up to a contract can not?

More a interview (Spanish): http://www.culturaempeso.com.br/scourge_ar.php

Nothing to do with being signed or not. They didn't release anything yet according to their MySpace.

Power metal? It sounds like W.A.S.P.

Anyway, it's been accepted now.

Months ago I made a couple of posts on this thread about Raging Speedhorn, but have had no reply to the latest so think they may have become lost in a swarm of other posts - http://www.metal-archives.com/board/vie ... t=#1361331
