Yeah I know, but I submitted 2 bands on the same day. One was accepted quickly, the other stays in the limbo. The Vio-lence show is 2 months ahead though ;) Here are the samples: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... QRM46lWaJM

The band Cyber Hell is blacklisted from the archives, however the band Cyber Hate was accepted in the archives. So the question I have is: would it be acceptable to add Cyber Hell's Synthetic Evolution EP on Cyber Hate's band entry? Because the name change seems to be very minor, and it was officially released in CD format. There is also a picture of the said release on Kristijan Bajlo's (ex-vocalist/guitarist) Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/p/Baec2daALiH/ . Considering their self-titled Demo/EP, it was never officially released.

Definitely an insignificant name change. Go ahead.

Hi

I want to submit the band "Murgarath" but it's blacklisted... They play Thrash/Black Metal and have a physical release:

https://murgarath.bandcamp.com/album/t-tem

https://www.facebook.com/pg/Murgarath/shop/

Thanks in advance

If the blacklisted Three Thirteen is the 80's one from Pittsburgh, the blacklisted message should show up also when typing in 313, since they go by that name as well. I assume they were deemed hard rock to a higher degree than metal?

Hello, I just wanted to ask why was my band rejected and blacklisted? Every time it was rejected, all the reasons were in [hidden-for moderators only]
I did everything you asked, the physical picture of a release, the sample....the first rejection was because it was just a demo, but after that there's a full-length so why was it rejected/blacklisted ? I just want to know.

It doesn't quite work like that. Only "Three Thirteen" is blacklisted, "313" is not. I'm not sure if that's what you're getting at, but variations like that aren't covered automatically; a mod has to manually add it. Anyway, as you assumed: "hard rock", November 2013

Can you provide at least one full release for listening?

Yeah, I could even send two full length now, but since it's not on YouTube or on internet and will never officially be, can you give me a mail where I can send you the mp3 files?

I want to add "Cultural" band, but it said "Warning: a band called "Cultural" (Indonesia) has been blacklisted! Your submission will not go through, unless your band comes from a different country; select the country in the drop-down to verify."
Cultural have 2 album, first album called Siksa Yang Kekal, second album Hidup Tak Selamanya Indah released by Sebelas April Records
and last release is split with Black Metal band, Histeria.

Blacklisted for being Goth Rock at best in 2015. Can you proof the release and link to samples of stuff that was released more recently? Or at least the album you think is predominantly metal

My band has made a new album and published it on Spotify, iTunes etc...
I think it fullfils now the criteria (it was rejected for being ambient rock and having a not-convincing release). How can I re-send it (it says it's black-listed ?)

Post evidence for the release and samples here, so we can check them out and decide whether it might pass or not.

Hail metal brothers! \,,/

I'd like to inquire about my Symphonic Black metal band "BlackEternal" from Henderson NV. We released our first full length album "6EQUJ5" in 2017 and just recently released our 2nd full length album "Encounters" last friday feb 8th 2019 to great reception from the black metal community online.
We have 2.5k followers on Facebook, our albums can be found on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon music, Google play and many other online streaming sites. We have been featured on many music review websites, received great album reviews and interviews as well. We have also been featured on several black metal facebook pages and Youtube channels with lots of hits and great comments.

I attempted to add "BlackEternal" today for the first time on your webpage, but i'm receiving a message that states that it has been black listed, after searching the site though and through and reading all the rules, I'm unable to find a reason as to why. To my full knowledge, this is the first time the submission was attempted. It would be an honor to be on your site. All i ask is for fair review and consideration.

Here are some links for proof of our legitimacy. I would truly appropriate your reconsideration as i believe that the black listing is possibly a mistake. Below are some links to prove my above statements. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Hail!

Hi. I can submit this banned early Deathcore band from Canada (when out the new stuff obviously, because is a Technical Death Metal album like Necrophagist) or not? Check it:
https://plaguebringercanada.bandcamp.com/track/starless

Postdata: I ask permission to submit on Metallum, because it was banned previously a few years ago for their Deathcore stuff (which was more core than metal).

I'm trying to resubmit the band Mythraeum, they play black metal, but they are blacklisted. Why are they rejected from the site? Here are samples and a photo of their demo cd.

Care to elaborate about rejecting The Flying Detachment? Perhaps not metal enough? Just curious.

I kinda think a re-review might be in order. I was listening to it yesterday and gotta say the riffs seem quite metal to me. Also Tim Aymar is automatically metal so yeah (yeah I know that's not how things work, but just sayin :P )

I couldn’t tell if this inquiry had been replied to or not. In the event it got lost in the shuffle, I also hear doom in this band.

I think this got lost in the shuffle again or I missed the response (my apologies if I did!)

Good call and I will specifically point out their 2016 album "Dawn Of The Shred", which seems to be definitely heavier than their older material:

Hi!

I just uploaded a band called Hastur, this one has been rejected, but I have the cd and the songs in mp3. It's an old band of an important musician in the scene of my province. A few years ago there was a video clip on YouTube but I could not get it back, the composer of the band currently participates in Inversus and previously participated in Cauldron the black metal band from Spain.

I would prefer to send the proves privately to some moderator to confirm them.

Thanks!

Greetings, some time ago I uploaded my band Snoutcrom to the server of Metallum, to have released two demos, the first of 3 songs + an introduction and the second of 3 songs + the introduction. The issue is that due to ignorance and error my (which I assume) the band was cataloged within the blacklist.
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Sn ... 3540444829 this is the respective link.

Then I will leave some images of both demos, which show the physical existence of both.
This is the first demo called "Psychotic" released in 2017.

https://ibb.co/FHTmfgb
https://ibb.co/JFdQc4F

Here is the full demo on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDZyvo7iTZI

This is the demo II called "Burnt" released in 2018.

https://ibb.co/PYssWy5
https://ibb.co/bKSRXQ2

Here is the full demo II on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOp2Xy3 ... 1550112164

I hope this is enough to get out of the blacklist and that the band is finally available to be checked on the Metallum server. Thank you.

Sometimes bands that are rejected aren't always appealed. From the looks of it, the band was blacklisted because the 2017 album wasn't that metal. I'm checking hte latest album and the longer ambient/story-based songs sound more prominent than the metal.

Looks like they were blacklisted for being too rough and inconsistant of mix quality for being acceptable on out digital rules. The photo of the demo is... questionable since it is just a band photo printed out. Is there a post talking about physical CDs being availble from the band? We're gonna need some more proof.

Um, yes. Not metal enough, as it said in the rejection message. More Alt/stoner rock than metal.

I think MUTABO from Serbia should be removed from the so-called "black list".

Their style is variation of genres ...from HELLHAMMER, AMEBIX, TRAGEDY to second wave black, and crust punk of course.
They also have two vinyl releases...

Its hard to decide is this acceptable or metal enough but what do you think???

Blacklist stays. Their music is based largely by punk/hardcore/crust/d-beat.

Not hearing Hellhammer nor 2nd wave BM, but instead Amebix without the Motörhead influences and/or early Discharge.

Hey I'd like to know why Herod from Switzerland was blacklisted? As far as I can tell their latest record sounds like proper sludge metal: https://herod.bandcamp.com/album/sombre-dessein.
