Notes/opinions on the 4 bands currently in question:

Roxalt (US) - Could go either way. Some of the songs are metal, but plenty are more so hard rock. Could use another vote from someone who feels more strongly one way or the other on it. A lot of their recorded works are downloadable at this link that Witcher had provided, password 2014.
https://bkmusic777.blogspot.com/2014/10 ... -1987.html

Fireclown (UK) - Haven't heard another moderator's opinion yet on this one, which was brought up 2 or 3 weeks ago. Full discography:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtE_3E1rdlY (classic track, comparable to Tank)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTBdDSlTgR8 (rock)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3acTWQh_4E (rock)
- While a majority of the material is rock, the first song is somewhat of a NWOBHM lesser-known classic, so I could see why it might be deleted, but hope that it won't be.

Asynja (Swe) - sounds fine to me.

Endless Pride (Swe) - had been brought up. Someone more versed in the subgenre should be the one to decide.

Deleted Morbid Funeral (USA) - No evidence that a valid release exists, the only source was the submitter (Noctir) who repeatedly revised the band's history over the years, similar to Mutilation, who were also deleted for not having a valid release.

Animetal, Aisenshi, and Eizo Japan have been deleted. Cover bands that have just been overlooked for so many years.

If anyone has or is able to find the full album by Finn (Oregon, US), "Learn to Suffer", their metalness could use a reassessment based on the one song that was found on YouTube.
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Finn/123022
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE331EFQTkg

A few suggested searches to find more non-metal bands that have managed to find their way to the site - in 'search albums' try genre keywords hardcore, groove, nu, gothic, grunge, rock, punk, alternative, industrial, or metalcore with releases 1996-2004.

Psylo has the tag "Heavy Metal/Rock/Grunge", but, from what I could listen, they sound mostly like a grunge/nu metal band. I wasn't able to trace their full album, but some of their songs are available on ReverbNation. It would be better to have access to the full album and have a final veredict.

Yes, I was just looking into Psylo a little bit earlier today and thought the same thing. I need to listen to the songs at ReverbNation a little bit more, but from what I heard (and how they describe themselves) they're more of a rock than metal band. They have at least 3 albums out, so I'm not sure they can be deleted without doing some more digging, though.

Deleted Laptev's Epidemia - same band as: Эпидемия (Новый Состав). Since their previous name wasn't in the alternate spelling field, this wasn't caught by the submitter or the people assessing the band after being (re)submitted. See the last 2 posts here regarding suggested edits to the rule list of the alternate spelling field in order for this and similar cases to not occur again, and to open browsers of the site up to more informative searches:

Pequod-Crew /Ger): Imo predominantly hardcore punk, wwith some oi! influences , it has only slight metal ininfluences and is not predmonantly thrash, it mostly sounds like Warzone or agnostic Front:

I have posted the album naily to provide samples for evaluation, since everone has to provide samples for their request here. It is practical to read the first messge in sshuch highighlighted threads, since their usually inform you, how tho wwork in them. For the recordd, i agree with your final remark on the album, it is a mmixture of heavy metal and hard rock. I am not an active moderator anymore, so it is up to current staff to give you furhter guidelines. Black Sheep need at least a gene modification imo, though.

Deleted:
Only Hell Remains (US) - core
Downstroy (Serbia) - nu metal
Dividing Line (Switzerland) - melodic symphonic rock
Endhammer (Germany) - hardcore
Psylo (US) - groove/alt. rock

Fireclown should be fine to keep on the site.

Not yet assessed:
Pequod-Crew (Ger)
Endless Pride (Swe)
Roxalt (US) - needs someone else's opinion. I was indifferent - could see them staying or being deleted.

Please either put in a report or post at the link below for genre changes in the future (along with as many audio clips as possible that can be easily accessed):
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=35533&start=3840

I'll give it another listen and change it if it seems necessary, though.

Street Machine (Cze) - Their later output is definitely more hardcore. The albums "Realita" and "Cena pravdy" could use a second opinion. Could go either way on them, but if anything am leaning slightly towards deletion.

Circus in Town (France) - They were accepted within the last couple of years and assessed by at least 2 moderators, but personally would vote for deletion. More opinions needed.

Roxalt (US) - Needs someone else's opinion. I was indifferent about it after listening - could see them staying or being deleted.

Lorien (Pol) - Doesn't sound like metal to me, either. The heaviest moments don't go further than groove rock in my opinion, and it is more bouncing between a couple of chords than 'riffing'. Another opinion would be good to have, though.

Fabio (Italy)- quite recent addition, but the musician behind the band actually doubts, if his band fits the rules (a rare occurence and honourable approach) and I have to agree with him.
This seems to me like rather punkish/hc based goregrind, not predominantly death metal based one:

Wanderer (USA) - not sludge metal, but a combination of chaotic hardcore /mathcore with metallic crust, while the metal element is certianly not the dominanting part of their sound or its backbone:

Fabio (Italy), Wanderer (US), Asphyxiant (US) ( https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/As ... 3540496913 ) - all three are borderline, but they seem okay to me overall. Fine with deletion as well, though. Waiting for further opinions.
