(a question from a couple of months back, hoping to get clarification) - In cases where a band quickly changes their name or deletes their (exclusively) digital discography but have been accepted to the site, is there a particular window of time in which they should either have their M.A. page renamed (including a note of the previous name), or be removed from the site (if a digital release enabled their addition to the archives, but it's deleted almost immediately with no other trace of their existence)? I know that some bands have been deleted for the latter before, and with this becoming a more common thing it would be great if an amount of time could be established that users are aware of.
Example: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bo ... 3540491746 - sometimes it is only a day or two before their Bandcamp page is replaced by one with a different name. The reason for the name change sometimes seems to be that there are 5 or 10 other bands with that name that they apparently weren't aware of, and to leave these on the site could cause extra unneeded confusion when browsers are trying to get to a band of that name that has an actual history and legitimate discography that the members will stand behind for over 48 hours.

Only other active issue/deletion suggestion that had been brought up -
Emit (UK) - (Haven't listened, and am not familiar with).

The band Camilo Rios from Chile has been deleted as it's just the name used on digital music platforms by the band Goat from Colombia.

Passing this on as I don't have time to follow through. Nightmare Ecstasy was recently added, and is a project from Vöghräth. On her Instagram, she/they makes mention that the tracks from Nightmare Ecstasy's side of the split were "previously released in 2020 under a different name so it's "old" stuff". Not sure what project that would be so that may need more research, but that brings in to question if this band should be deleted or not.

Her Bandcamp houses all of her projects, so it may be a place to start.

Deleted Snowdrops (Italy) - bare-bones entry from 2007 where the band name and 'one demo release' was all that's provided, coming from a list on a website (that's far from an airtight verification of metalness). Likely this non-metal band that had a demo was being referred to: https://www.discogs.com/artist/1961704-Snowdrops . Will add it to the research thread, though.

Wanted to tackle their demo for the review challenge, turns out it's 90% ambient.

Bull Doza (Greece) - a V1 addition listed as Stoner Metal. Just listening to it for a few minutes and skimming around a bit, it sounds more like stoner rock to me, though. I added rock to the genre, though am not sure that they belong on the site. Could use another opinion or two:

Deleted Army of the Dead (US) - The first Skinless demo had mistakenly been thought to be released under this name (probably because the spine of the j-card emphasizes the release title more than their logo that is also on it). A band member confirmed that they had never gone by that name.

Hi
Looks like we have some field to improve with searching bands in the queue.
I did it with latin name and nothing showed up.
You put Cyrillic name as main and alternative name in Latin alphabet.
I have check it again and it's not showing up when I try with Latin...

That's what I thought. But the band logo is written with Cyrillic first letter, so I think Cyrillic should be used as the primary name as well.

Deleted Dehiscence (US) - after accepting, realized that it was already on the site. Gorilla, you knew that this was in queue already. Moderators shouldn't have to waste their time sorting stuff like this out, and being given the extra obstacle of someone intentionally putting a band in a second time so you can get credit. We try to give submission credits to the right person within reason, but in my opinion whining about stuff like this in the forum and putting in a new submission when you know it's already been submitted is totally lame and uncalled for. One of the reasons that this thread was made ( viewtopic.php?f=17&t=131538 ) is so that people have an opportunity to submit more bands than they normally would be able to, since the necessary information is right there and ready to go. Was hoping that it would help some of us get out of the 'credit should have been mine because I was there 3 seconds sooner', or other such technicality-referencing mentality that totally pisses on the idea of teamwork. If Dehiscence had been submitted early, hopefully the person will realize the error and try not to have a similar situation happen again. Would just really appreciate it if there aren't any more posts about "I should have had credit for this", or people intentionally causing the headache that comes with self-entitled duplicated submissions, with a whiny report attached to the other submission. It's just really damn petty.
We'll try to give credit to the right person, but mistakes sometimes happen. Please just deal with it and get on with your day.

What's the reason for accepting Cry of the Nile (https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Cr ... 3540516233) as both available singles (from the upcoming album) share the same, non personalized cover on all digital platforms (though both singles added with different covers, not sure where that comes from)?
