The following post isn't meant to solely go out to this forum . In fact I'm of the opinion that much of the Internet could benefit by reading it . I also don't take credit for any of the ideas that will be listed below . All of them are the brainchild of people much wiser than I am .
Suggestion # 1 : Be more civil
There's a lot of incivility on this forum . I don't want to point fingers here , but it's noteworthy that the very people who have accused me of creating discord have often used profanity in their posts ( to use one example ) . That's not to say I'm out to play martyr here , in fact I forgive you guys . It's just that this forum and the world would be a better place if people were more civil . I'm sure most of you don't talk the way you do on this forum in real life , certainly not at your places of employment , so it behooves me to suggest that applying talking , or in this case typing , the way you do at your place of employment would be of great benefit to this forum and the universe at large .
Suggestion # 2 : Be more tolerant
I hate to say this and ( again ) I'm not gonna point any fingers , but a lot of people on this forum are intolerant . I've seen several users post ad hominem insults about other people , simply because they happen to not share their political outlook . Of course I realize that such a thing doesn't cause much conflict on this forum per se , nonetheless this sort of clannish " us against them " mentality is very harmful to society at large . So I'm just suggesting that it would be for the better if more forum members were to apply the principle of tolerance even to people they don't like .
Suggestion # 3 : Be less uptight
I realize I may have angered certain forum users with my threads and for that I apologize . Yet I must say that said users could have easily chose to ignore my threads and went on with their lives . This especially goes out to those ordinary users who ( I think ) went as far as to violate the mini mod rule when they voiced their displeasure with me ...
That said it's no problem because I forgive you guys . And I mean that with the utmost sincerity . I could go on for a bit with my suggestions , but I'll refrain from doing so since that would only create negative vibes . And I want to leave here whilst creating postive vibes .
This may sound pretentious and feel free to mock me for it , but I've come to love and appreciate humanity so much more in the past few years . I won't go as far to say that I love you all , however I can safely that I'm glad to be still living and that I refuse to engage anyone in anger anymore . Life is best when lived with love and that is how I plan to live it .
