This site DOES NOT make it easy. I have an established band on this site but I need to add a new release, album cover, and short bio. Who the hell do I contact to do this before I lose my mind?

New releases (i.e. new data) can be added by any user, regardless of rank, so you should be able to do that by yourself. Any other information you cannot update due to your rank you can file a report for (the button "report an error" in the right upper corner).

Not good enough. I am presented with a bunch of fields when I try to "edit". For example, I wish to change the status from "split-up" to "re-formed" ... these ridiculous automated fields do not make that possible. Can I email someone the details in a less robotic fashion?

Azmodes already told you that you can file a report with the changes you requested, in the post above yours. No robotics involved.

I already went to the alternative entry systems suggested. Its just another field-based list in a menu form which do not contain the information I need to do what, should be, a very simple task.

Ridiculous. There should be an email advertised that details can be sent to in human language. And to the idiot who wrote "why don't you start your own site then??" like a smart-assed 10 year old.

I don't need to. This site is hopelessly inundated and overwhelmed to the extent that it no longer works. There are a million more sites to choose from.
