Maybe this was discussed before but I cannot find the thread. Some live Metallica albums were added, which are not different from the previous and later releases made by the Fan Club. They have a physical release, but all the recordings of the latest tours have been released on CD as well as digital.
Why these releases were accepted?:

Should the rest of live releases of this kind be considered?

Sorry for bumping an old thread - this is something I'd noticed a while ago but always forgot to bring up - seems it has been mentioned at least once before.

So yeah, there's been a few random live albums added for Metallica (as per the OP). Not that there's a problem with that I guess - they've been putting their live shows up for digital purchase for a long time now, and they've been making more recent ones available on CD as well - but there doesn't seem to be any discernible reason (that I can see at least) as to why these ones were picked and countless others have not been added. This should really be an all or nothing approach, but their page could very well end up with hundreds of live albums on there.

What is the thinking on this?
