Greetings
On Saturday I added the band Feuerschwanz. I added four different digital versions for their latest album, Das elfte Gebot: the regular and deluxe editions and the regular and deluxe editions released on Amazon, which for some reason have a different track order and track lengths than the rest, which to me merits being treated as a different version. Those Amazon versions were marked with Amazon in the description. Other digital versions (iTunes, Google Play, Bandcamp and Spotify) are alike.

Well, the thing is that first someone replaced the regular digital version with the 2CD version for some reason. And today or yesterday someone removed the Amazon deluxe version, and they removed the Amazon note from the Amazon digital version, leaving a version with a significanly different track listing than the rest as the only digital version. What's up with this?

Of course I'm not going to engage in an edit war.

This is proof of the differences between the versions (note that the one on Amazon is significantly different):
https://play.google.com/store/music/alb ... s33prwhgbu
https://feuerschwanz.bandcamp.com/album ... te-gebot-2
https://www.amazon.es/Das-Elfte-Gebot-F ... sic&sr=1-1
https://open.spotify.com/album/6q5qTqjcLxppQiKROjsQkc

I just checked American Amazon and saw that its version is different than the one on Spanish Amazon (but still different from the rest), which is quite bizarre:
https://www.amazon.com/Das-Elfte-Gebot- ... sic&sr=1-1

German Amazon has the regular track listing:
https://www.amazon.de/Das-Elfte-Gebot-D ... 371&sr=8-1

Thanks

Hmm, not sure why the original digital version (the one that appears on Bandcamp, etc.) was overwritten by the 2CD; a version without the bonus tracks should definitely be the parent. Feel free to re-add it and file a report so that a mod or a knight can move it to the correct position.

You're certainly correct that different track orders/track times would warrant separate versions (although from what I see in those links, the track time differences aren't really significant enough to be a factor here). I deleted one of the Amazon deluxe versions on the basis of a report by wojty666, as he couldn't find it through a Google search. I'll admit fault for that for not doing my due diligence and looking into it myself. Also, wojty removing the Amazon note is normally a perfectly fine thing to do, as we generally try to discourage users from mentioning digital retailers in the version description. In this case, however, it may be worth including a note such as "Spanish/American/German/etc. Amazon" in the additional notes for each respective version.

That said, am I looking at the same versions as you are here? The Spanish Amazon version just has the same tracklisting/order as the Spotify/Bandcamp versions, the German version has Lords of Powermet as the first song (and certainly doesn't seem to have the standard track order), and the American version has Engel as the first song.

Hmm, I understand.

No, the Spanish Amazon version I linked doesn't have the same track order, this is what I see:
1 Schildmaid 3:50
2 Unter dem Drachenbanner 4:10
3 Totentanz 3:59
4 Das Elfte Gebot 3:33
5 Lords of Powermet 4:18
6 Meister der Minne 3:31
7 Kampfzwerg 3:35
8 Malleus Maleficarum 3:48
9 Mission Eskalation 3:30
10 Metfest 3:39
11 Im Bauch des Wals

The Bandcamp version has this:
1. Meister der Minne 03:31
2. Metfest 03:39
3. Das Elfte Gebot 03:34
4. Kampfzwerg 03:35
5. Im Bauch des Wals 04:44
6. Mission Eskalation 03:30
7. Schildmaid 03:50
8. Malleus Maleficarum 03:48
9. Lords of Powermet 04:18
10. Totentanz 03:59
11. Unter dem Drachenbanner 04:09

So the alternative versions should be added?

Thanks

Weird...I went to click on the Spanish Amazon link again and now it completely matches up with your tracklist :???: The German and American ones still show up differently for me, though. This is the German one:

1 Lords Of Powermet 4:19
2 I See Fire 4:56
3 Kampfzwerg 3:38
4 Limit 3:15
5 Totentanz 4:00
6 Metfest 3:41
7 Im Bauch des Wals 4:44
8 Amen & Attack 3:53
9 Engel 4:26
10 Malleus Maleficarum 3:49
11 Gott mit Uns 3:19
12 Mission Eskalation 3:31
13 Das Elfte Gebot 3:36
14 Ding [feat. Melissa Bonny] 3:28
15 Unter dem Drachenbanner 4:10
16 Hier kommt Alex 3:56
17 Schildmaid 3:50
18 Meister der Minne 3:31

And this is the American one:

1 Engel 4:26
2 Hier kommt Alex 3:56
3 Lords of Powermet 4:18
4 Mission Eskalation 3:30
5 Totentanz 3:59
6 Metfest 3:39
7 Meister der Minne 3:31
8 Kampfzwerg 3:35
9 I See Fire 4:55
10 Amen & Attack 3:53
11 Schildmaid 3:50
12 Limit 3:13
13 Unter dem Drachenbanner 4:10
14 Im Bauch des Wals 4:45
15 Das elfte Gebot 3:33
16 Gott mit Uns 3:19
17 Ding (feat. Melissa Bonny) 3:28
18 Malleus Maleficarum 3:48

After discussing this briefly with Zodi, we're thinking that since the tracklists are indeed different, they can be added as other versions, but it's probably best to leave off the "German/Spanish/American Amazon" note I was suggesting earlier, as the differences don't seem to be very consistent across regions. And as I mentioned in the other post, feel free to re-add the Bandcamp/Spotify/Google Play version as well, as that's definitely a legitimate version (and I'm thinking that's the order the tracks are actually intended to be in).

Okay, done, thanks.

The Spanish Amazon version is still there. You can do with it whatever you see fit.
