I've noticed recently one user added Decrepisy: https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/De ... 3540492588 on "1th Aug"

https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/D ... ion/967587

The release date is on "6th Aug" https://decrepisy.bandcamp.com/album/emetic-communion

Dude, you clearly don't know how to use "publish_date" for Bandcamp releases.

This thread would be useful for you, especially on Release dates section:
viewtopic.php?f=17&t=125696

And by the way, Decrepisy shouldn't be accepted as their Bandcamp has ridiculous price at 1,000 USD.

I'd imagine he overlooked that; they're using dark gray typeface on a black background. Mistakes happen.

"Violation of laws"

Just what does this mean though?

Mate, I clearly know how to use it! I know the date of release may change that's why I checked the release date every day!
But I'm pretty sure about these 3 bands because all of them were on my band's list as a draft and I was checking their pages daily and waiting for the release date.

Thats' an interesting justification, But I don't think so.

It does mean I actually considered here to be an example of a real society with real laws/rules for those who live with metal.

...if it's out, it's out.
The band could set the release date to 4th of March 3022 if they wanted, but if all songs are included in the download, it's released. Easy as that.
In that case the publish_date becomes the release date, because that's the day they published the full release on Bandcamp (or at least the it's the most correct date we have) and effectively released it, no matter what imaginary numbers they added to the "release date" field. If you can't proof it was available before the given release date, go with the release date given on the Bandcamp page.

There's also the issue that Bandcamp works in GMT whereas MA uses EST (GMT -4) and the band might be in ICT (GMT+7), so it's likely their August 1st does not correspond to Bandcamp's August 1st or our August 1st.
Given MA always works in EST, please do the math.
