http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540255781

I don't know if this is a joke band or not, anyway...
  • Lyrical theme(s): Their stupidity, grains, faggots,...
  • Formed in: 1970 (just look at the photo!)
  • Additional notes on "Demo 1 " release: Naamath is a wanker who knows to play BM
Either someone's adding wrong data or the band is fake.

I suspect wrong data... All these fields seems have be left open and coul6 have been editted easily. The user
http://www.metal-archives.com/userprofi ... er=Naamath
has fours points and this corresponds with the edits on the page. Should be banned.

More wrong data added...

I don't know who's more retarded... the guy in the band, or the people in this forum (there was a 60+page topic which got deleted and now they keep goin' on in this one) constantly knucking the band's page... or even myself for caring about.
Well, I assume they are going to keep adding stupid data until they get bored...

As none of them has an account of 500+ points, all they can do is show their retardness in the open. None of the information that is added will stay for good.

By the way, what about the release date of the demo... it is still messed up.

Fuck, I don't know! I even thought that was a fake band...
Looks like the demo is for sale so November 2008 may be wrong... but honestly I couldn't care less for such a band!

According to the site at the MA, this band has no release.
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=42726
The one added to their site was released under the monicker Thy Altar; quote:
When new members joined band, the band changed name to Thy Altar and released Christrotten album.

So this entry is pretty pointless.

http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=54360 - does this belong? Judging by samples @ their myspace, there are no guitars at all.

http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=39870 - not metal and no links proving physical release.

Catachthonian, the absence of links doesn't mean that it wasn't released, that release can be found on label's site. Though that band is not metal.

Huh, seems it's not important in this case. But I guess I ought to check it in similar cases in future (if there will be any).

this band was accepted wrongly:
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540255143

see here:
http://www.myspace.com/witchlords

Quote:
WITCH-LORD / KONGH SPLIT 7" part of Pharmacopoeia 5 x7 inch box set compilation...... WITCH-LORD gives you the ritual offering of "BLOOD FOR KALI" backed w/ Sweden's sonic killers KONG.................. Ten tracks by some of your favorites like Coffins, Witch-Lord, Kongh, Accept Death, Behold! The Living Corpse, Fossegrimen, The Misanthrope Project, Raven..s Creed, Raw Radar War, and more. Limited to 250 copies. WITCH-LORD SPLIT 7"with KONG. On LAND'O SMILES RECORDS

here is the flyer of the release:
http://www.landosmiles.com/New%20Page/los14.jpg

I see this as a compilation and that it should not be accepted. There are at least nine band participating in it. Or can it be accepted as this release has once been:
Crushing the holy trinity
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=89392

If it is against the rules to add the release, then this release has to be deleted, too:
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=200384

Witch-Lord deleted, as well as the connected release from Kongh's page. lunaboy/SitraAhra also loses several thousand points for pulling the stunt. "Demons" are supposed to know better.

As a sidenote, Crushing the Holy Trinity is not now technically needing of an exception, as its various parts were sold separately for a time. That said, it probably would've been taken onboard as an exception, anyway, given the unusual format. The release featuring Kongh, Witch-Lord, and others seems to have had a participating bandcount far above what Trinity sported, however, nor is there any mention of its various parts being sold separately.

The fansite link on Atraphine's page claims that the band released a 'limited edition single.' Not every page in the Archive with no discography section evidences a band with no releases, so more information will be needed.

Angband (Irn)'s "Rising from Apadan" still unreleased. The release date is August 29th, 2008 according to their official website, so this band should be deleted.

According to the rules (#7) at least one physical demo is required, and just MP3s on MySpace are not enough. If you check the promotions forum, you can also find that this band was a joke by users EliZha (sorry if I got the name wrong) and goatcraft, so I don't think this should be here (though the music is actually quite nice, while not really good ;))

EDIT: typo

Forsaken Angel
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540255913

Quote:
Yeah the band split up, and Wolfthorn is an entirely new project. I never realised we were in the Metal Archives until just now. The 3 track demo was never properly released, we just sort of gave out copies to people at gigs and stuff. It probably doesn't constitute a proper release, so it might be best to remove us from the archive.

A reply from the band on a request from me on the information on their first release. Should they stay or not?

I believe that still counts as a proper release, as it was distributed to the public.

here is a track:
http://music.download.com/baalstrom/360 ... 97353.html

their homepage is archived in the wayback machine, but no information has been saved... therefore is the homepage of no use. that is all I can find. I do not think that they have a release out. The song has rehearsal quality, but not more.

I have checked both links on the website, but a release was never mentioned. The band was in the process of recording one, but it remains unclear whether it ever saw the light of day.

not added:

it is important not only to submit bands to the MA, but also to contact them, after/in case they have been accepted. When they have vanished into oblivion, then it is certainly too late for this.

Why was Epitimia accepted? Do they have physical release? User Slayer_88 just have found the link to mp3 here http://metalarea.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=55254 posted by the band member, he downloaded it, renamed the folder, uploaded to rapidshare and added the link to his submission. I can't see any evidence of physical release...

It's hard to say, especially when all information is in Russian. It's questionable indeed, so if you can find out anything about it, please post it here or in a report.
