has or will Encyclopaedia Metallum: The Metal Archives considered expanding their Archives catalog to include the Genre of grindcore? as there would never have been grindcore without the influence of metal, adding grindcore would only add to the historical information base of the metal archives making it even more important to a wider audience of metal fans, grindcore is very different than "noise" all sounds make noise or they wouldnt be heard, i hope Encyclopaedia Metallum will reconsider expanding its Genres to include all grindcore in the future as it is a shame that it be denied the importance to the metal archives that it truely deserves...

It already includes all the good grindcore bands, which are important to the metal scene...

We do NOT accept the following (this is our decision, please don't argue this):

* Grindcore (and all its variants; noise, crust, etc) with little to zero metal influence (ex: Anal Cunt, Libido Airbag)

So the answer is a clear no, because we do not consider that part, that we reject metal.

We do not consider pure grindcore metal, plain and simple.

It's not about the "good" ones at all.

Did you perchance miss the with little to zero metal influence (ex: Anal Cunt, Libido Airbag) part?

"Influences" doesn't mean much to begin with. Bon Jovi clearly has a few Metal influences here and there. KoRn clearly has a few Metal influences here and there. A bit of Metal influence doesn't make a band Metal.

Can early Skitsystem be considered metal-influenced? (it sounds a LOT like death/thrash with black-ish vocals.)

THIS is the thread for such questions:
http://www.metal-archives.com/board/vie ... start=4560

As for the band - do not know, provide samples, the band is known as a hardcore one and usually desribed as such in reviews.

Metal-influenced yes. Metal no.

Besides, Genocide SS (the "We Are Born of Hate" album in particular) and Driller Killer sound a lot more like Metal, and those bands aren't here either.

Even if it is not metal, it is very far from being hardcore.

Here's the band page where you can download everything,
http://www.skitsystem.net/ --> discography.

or a sample from first 7":
http://rapidshare.com/files/66714381/02 ... r.mp3.html

or a sample from last album:
http://rapidshare.com/files/66714780/01 ... r.mp3.html

Note that I am not trying to tell you they are metal, because, they aren't, I am just trying to show they have a metal sound.

What are they, according to you, then? They even mention the d-beat iinfluences on their page. D-beat - is a style of hardcore punk.
The old school hardcore in their sound is clearly hearable.
Metal influenced, but still basically hardcore.
