There's a straightforward rejection of this (formerly common) suggestion in the basic site FAQ on the front page. For the purpose of disambiguation, the site is an encyclopaedia, as opposed to a billboard.

but yet people post trades, wants and sell lists. I just thought it would be a good idea.

Trades can be a bit more long distance than gigs normally are.
