There used to be a band on the archives called Psy-Kick, industrial metal from Brazil. From what I've read they were deleted because of the genre description ("cyber metal"), but they are actually industrial metal with a bit of black metal, I guess cyber metal is the way they describe themselves (as some other bands do). The band was actually formed by people who were into the Brazilian black metal and death metal scenes for years and got known into the scene (with lots of albums released and stuff).
Psy-Kick itself has one full-length released, which is actually very metal, I think they should be included back to the archives. I tried to add them once again but it gave me the message of rejected band.
If you wish to clear out doubts about how metal the band is, they have a MySpace profile: http://www.myspace.com/psykickband

Thanks in advance

It was put on the rejected list because of that tag, quite obviously. Upon listening to the myspace songs, I would actually consider it to be metal.

I have removed them from the rejected list, but next time, wait with your submission for the actual removal!

:???: right, we'd just expect James Hetfield to log on and add Metallica.

Seriously, though, most bands don't give a shit about being on the archives (if they even know about them). The archives are here for listeners, not for bands. And personally I think it's lame to submit your own band. If not enough people know about your band that any of them would submit it, then you should probably get more exposure. Of course, this happens all the time too; but I would say the vast majority of bands are submitted by someone not in the band (hence certain users who have submitted hundreds of bands).

You got it wrongly the user who found about the band should submit it after discussion in the forums that what I meant and not an anonymous user who read about the band in the forums only.

that's actually wrong. many many reports comes from band members. even from "famous" ones I've personally checked messages from trevor peres, tom g warrior, recently a guy from enthroned and some other.

Actually, for thinkpad's statement to be wrong, you'd have to get reports from members of at least around 27,000 bands.

just because someone didn't submit a report, doesn't mean they wouldn't appreciate being on the archives.

Who cares? Why does it matter?
it is kinda shitty - Ive had it happen to me a few times
I look at my submissions as my 'babies' and if I 'found' them I want to be the one who 'takes care' of each of them (like I stated in a previous thread)
(I guess its easier for me because I dont have a whole hell of a lot of submissions like some do)

I have contact with some bands
they send me messages about what they want to change
but most of bands don't cares :P

"I look at my submissions as my 'babies' " - I'm checking sometimes "my" bands...
it's reallly nice to see if somebody find something new and add this to obscure bands that I found
ex.
when I found this on Metal Hammer that was only band name, style, country and one name with one demo :
