Is it because it's a compilation?

There is a special forum for questions like that.
Is it actually consequently metal??
I highly doubt it, seeing who is involved and reading some of the reviews.
But it can be dicussed - with samples from the whole release.

Please forum mods, move the post.

Some songs are pretty good and can actually be considerd metal. Like the song In The Fire with King Diamond on vocals, but most of it is shit and not metal. Also it isn't a real band.

It is the same kind of project as Nuclear Blast Allstars, Hear'n' Aid, Avantasia or Aina, so that alone would not be a problem.

But the majority of songs on an album should be metal, not only some genuine metal songs, while the rest would be mallcore, modern hardcore or borderline.

Read the "X symbol" part.

It is most probable, that a lot of the modern emo/scene kids do not even know, that it should symbolize certain strict lifestyle.

So scene kids are emos?

Emo is one kind of scene, and is usually what people mean. But I think in general calling someone a "scene kid" just means that they are (a) young, typically 13-17 years old, and more importantly (b) they are listening to ____core or whatever the flavor of the week is because they are following a trend. Often said people will have gag-reflex-inducing hairdos, impossibly tight bands, typically with studded metal belts, and various other trendy clothing. Being young doesn't make you a scene kid, but listening to music because it's trendy or because you are being "rebellious" or whatever does, especially if you subscribe to the aforementioned ridiculous fashion trends.

I've only heard one Roadrunner United track (Annihilation by the Hands of God, I think it was called), and it was metal, although pretty shitty. As for the rest I can't say. Anyway I think that the reason Roadrunner United is not on MA is because they are not really a proper band; it's just a bunch of songs all with different people, different styles, etc.

Because if you have X in your name you're a poser, apparently.

I still haven't got round to hearing that Roadrunner United CD yet.

No, but I'd say it's a warning sign in a lot of cases.

There's no set lineup in the songs therefore it is not a band. It's a compilation of songs by different groups of people. Most of the songs are metal, there's a few that are not, but the fact that it has no stable lineup prevents it from being here.

No, but having two X's (because that's hardXcore) in addition to references to the genres "death" and "black" (because they're fuckin' br00tal) with the word "core" (because it's trendy) overriding the notion of him liking either of the aforementioned two acts as a shining warning beacon that is pretty hard to ignore.
