this place needs to tighten the restrictions greatly
if tons of "goregrind" bands who are much more metal by nature are rejected but these BREAKDOWN-REET-REPEAT bands are clogging up the list..... i dunno

Yes, this place needs to tighten the restriction to keep annoying trolls away.

As for goregrind, it is again a pseudo genre, which says nothing about the music.

Those grindcore bands, that are enough death (or thrash) metal based are accepted, those who are mostly crust, punk, noise, cyber, old school hardcore based are rejected. It is that simple.

Grindcore in its pure form is as non-metal as modern hardcore. And polka punkish rhythms of diverse porno, fecal or "goregrind" band are even more annoying than all metalcore bands together and as non-metal as the core wing of them.

Thereare strict rules on metalcore bands, only those that are more metal than modern hardcore get accepted. Yes, that means also deathcore and As I Lay Dying type of melodeath or groove metal tinged bands. They are judged by their overall sound, not by the number of breakdowns in it or their image.

You have most of this in the rules already, so you should better read them instead of trolling the forums.
