I'm sure this has been asked before, but why is Buckethead not in the archives?

Sure, he plays dozens of styles, most of them have nothing to do with metal. However, he has a couple of albums that are top notch metal. I own about every album he has ever released and I could only submit album information for his metal albums if necesarry.

I'm not saying that this guy is 100% metal, but common ... have you ever heard albums like "The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell" or "Dawn of the Deli Creeps"?

So what if he most of his material is not metal? He has released some excellent metal albums.

I see some of the bands on the archives only have released a couple of metal albums too, while all the other albums are not metal ... so why are they on here and Buckethead not (who, btw, has about 50000x the talent of these bands)? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Now if there's an actual good reason for his absence, please explain because right now I can't come up with any :)

Strange... You are sure that it had been asked before, yet you didn't search for it? You also didn't use the designated "Why was band X rejected"-thread.

I haven't personally heard any of his albums but until proved otherwise I'll simply trust Witcher's assessment on the music. A band can be added to the archives when they have at least one metal album - though it's no one release rule is a bit since a band that released one sole heavy single and then thirteen pop albums won't be allowed. Talent, I'm afraid, has no influence on our decisions.

Anyway, if you want to make a real case you should provide samples (or MP3s of the entire album in question).
