First of all, I did a search for this, checked about 100 threads and didn't find anything similar. Feel free to point me to the right thread if it has been discussed before.


I was going to add Horrirficia's (http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=114410) split album with Raped Bitch, but since the second band is not here, I can't give the ID (obviously). My suggestion is that maybe it could be useful if we could add split albums, even if one band is not metal (and/or not on the archives).

That way we could still add albums that metal bands created, even if the other half of the album is by a band that's not on here. Maybe having a checkbox to indicate that the other band is not on here would be a solution. If this checkbox would be checked, we could give the band name in stead of the id.

Is it allowed to add this album not as a split album, but as regular album, only adding the tracks the band created and ignoring the other tracks? Then in the aditional notes (forgot what it's called) I could say that it's actually a split album. I was originally going to do this, but I figured I'd first ask on the forums if it's accepted.

If you add an album, choose single release and then in the drop-down menu split album; if you do not have an ID.

All tracks must be added... what use would an incomplete entry be?

I didn't know about the "split album" feature (only about "split").
I added the album with the tracks in format "BANDNAME - Trackname", like used on the example you provided.
