Is this a frequent occurrence?
https://www.metal-archives.com/report/v ... 7/show/all
I'm asking because I'm not around much; however, every time I sign in I see something like this--courtesy of Blackmore Forever.

EDIT: Seems like there are other unofficial versions added by senior users under Noise Records/Int'l. I really don't think they belong on Noise's main page. They're replicas. Why even add them?

Yeah, that's why we have stuff like this. Obviously these shouldn't go under the real label.

Why you wrote that?

It's the first time i've added an unofficial release, and i've added few press at all by now on the site.

Problems with me?

I don't give a fuck about making points as soon as possible in every way like others.

It's crystal clear you don't know me at all...

I've added them under this:
https://www.metal-archives.com/labels/N ... ords_(fake)
But I really think we should get rid of them.

Blackmore Forever, I'm a little on edge today, dude. No, you're right, I don't know you. Anyway, from now on, add the unofficial releases to the fake Noise (or other label), not to the main label's page. Discogs isn't always reliable. Loads of shit versions get dumped there.

"Fuck Discogs", you say in the report's place that you've just closed.

Oh, perfect!

But only you can say this, or me too, when you or other moderators say: "We don't care if you say you own the copy, you must provide link etc."?

Let me know.

In a nutshell:
A. Not every version of Discogs should be listed here.
B. When you ask us to add a version we need to see proof of it. If you can't provide scans, provide an eBay or a Discogs link. Still that's no guarantee the version will be added, because see A.

It should be pretty easy to understand that we don't want bootlegs listed on the legitimate labels' pages merely by virtue of the forgeries copying everything. Hence why we have these fake dummy label pages. So please add them to those, or, if there isn't one yet and you're sure it's a bootleg and not really released by the given label, create a new label in the form of "[Label name] (fake)".

Just filling you guys in to whichever Admin catches this :) I've done quite a bit of updating to both Hermóðr's and Deadlife's pages (this was earlier today). In case ya'll may be wondering why I'm going back into these 2 pages (as of now), with slightly more updating; I have some additional info that I have, that I need to put in the "Additional Notes" tab.

Figure it was best to let you guys know in here what I'm doing, so you don't think I'm just trying to rack up on points just cause. Hope this is o.k.?

I'm a bit curious about your formatting.. What is the rationale behind putting "English translation" in brackets? If anything it seems to fuck with the advanced search function, with "[English translation]" returning 177684 results...

Hello :) What is the best way to do it then? Just to translate and not add that part? Reason why I thought it should be done that way is because when lyrics are translated, that's what I've seen before the actual translation.

Am I doing this wrong? If this should be done a different way, please tell me, I will gladly do it in a way you suggest :)

Also, with it being in the notes, I didn't think it would mess up the advanced search function. My apologies on that.

Just writing "English translation" without the brackets is probably more orderly. Personally I prefer denoting what language it's translated from rather than what language it's translated to, though...

Edit; The brackets don't really mess anything up, they just don't work as a search criteria... No worries.

As for the brackets; I'm not entirely sure if writing "[English translation]" means that it doesn't show up when searching for "English translation", but it may appear so at first glance. And using "[English translation]" as the search criteria doesn't work.

Alright, should I go back and correct this with what I've already done (getting rid of the brackets, and using your suggestion)?

And, if points need to be deducted for me going back to clean it up, I understand. And, I understand you about the denoting what language. Thank you for correcting me on that.

Seems you got in a reply before I got in my edit.

But yeah. There doesn't seem to be any real standard in play when adding that kind of information. Right off the bat I can't even say what the consensus is on the importance of that kind of information in the first place. If you want to clean it up then feel free. And I see no reason to deduct any points.

Oops! Sorry about that (I mean, about the reply before your edit) :)

I've seen others translate song tracks in the notes; and since I am learning Swedish, I was like maybe it would be alright to translate what songs Hermóðr has on there, from Swedish to English.

And, thank you for being patient and understanding. At least I know the better way to do this. Thank you!

As a sidenote to that; please avoid guesswork. If you are uncertain or if the title is ambiguous then please leave it be. Not that I spotted anything that looked wrong to my Norwegian eyes with the ones you did. So - more of a general statement really, hehe.

I will definitely avoid that, and will leave as-is for anything that I come across. :) And, I understand ;)

A newb, adds lyrics one by one and has added a bunch of other versions that are the same as the parent.

A huge idiot, was originally spamming the report queue so I told him to stop spamming reports and add the album art himself, but now he is creating other versions to add the album art instead of editing it normally. My report with all the versions he added.

Refreshed SV's page a little, so I'm linking another example. :) Cat ID = none, adding Discogs links to album add. notes... useless stuff.

Celtic Cross is still at it, if anyone cares... promoted himself to lyrics 1b1, too. https://www.metal-archives.com/users/Celtic%20Cross

https://www.metal-archives.com/users/Starseeker guesswork lineup on https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/T ... rma/555142 (proof: bandcamp). not particularly agreed on the lyrical themes he added to the same band, either: https://www.metal-archives.com/history/ ... 3540406000

Added many redundant contents like "CD / Cassette / Vinyl / Album / EP / Demo" to Version description.
I'm tired to clean these, maybe someone could help.

Fucker told to fuck off. He was posting near-gibberish in #metal earlier too. Almost seems like some kind of spambot... Then again, some reports almost make sense, so perhaps just lack of braincells and/or language barrier.

I'm making some updates with regards to the label: https://www.metal-archives.com/labels/B ... ctions/519
Many of the records released on said label were added by him, but now he seems to be pissed off.

Hiraxthrash added an upcoming album without its cover art and exact release date. I've added the necessary info based on this video from the artist, but it's strange why they couldn't have done that themselves.

User robinii is adding lengths of songs recorded live by copying the information from the studio disc but it is not the same.

He's adding things to the 'version description' field that don't belong there. Like CD, split, EP etc.
