^ addendum: Vocals (track 7) not Vocals (guest track 7). Mixing, Mastering not Mixing and Mastering. Avoid redundancy.

Adding lots of useless junk like duplicates of albums and infos with highly cancerous grammar/spelling.

https://www.metal-archives.com/users/BlackAzeroth

Example: 4 versions of the same Bandcamp-only single that aren't even correct
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/A ... A7a/668856
-> https://abismika.bandcamp.com/album/templo-da-descren-a

No. 2 https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/3 ... 26//691845
-> The original submitter screwed his grammar up so he tried to fix it, I guess.

Also added a shitload of duplicates for back in 2017 that already got deleted multiple times.
->https://www.metal-archives.com/history/view/type/band/id/3540404543
Don't know if Dia or someone else who deleted his stuff already sent him a note

I would like to request a one-point docking from myself because I edited my solo project's bio twice.

Nah, small stuff like that is fine, as long as it doesn't become a habit. Happens to everybody once and a while.

So ya'll know what's going on with Sacred Son, I edited the picture of the cover to show the actual cd, on the independent cd version. When I did that, it changed the pictures to that picture on some of the other variant entries. So, I had to go back and re-correct those. I don't know why it wanted to do that. I'm sorry about that.

Can someone explain me why was a band Phantom Elite accepted in December 2017 if all links I've found (and provided by the submitter!) say that it's debut releases on April 15th, 2018?

The upcoming Immortal single might need a mod note. It's on this site for less than a day and 3 people already added/modified the etching on the B-side as a song and one even removed the "single sided" tag. The track list should only be for the actual songs and not some sort of art. It is however also listed in the notes (which is fine)

https://www.metal-archives.com/users/AndrewPYL

added ridiculous formats to albums of https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/R ... _Die/99410

At least that's what I've encountered. Always "Digital" and "Bandcamp" for releases that date back to 2005 or 2007. They were (and are still missing) their format, but he should've added a different version/file a report. They were all re-released on bandcamp on June 24th, 2016. https://requital.bandcamp.com/

I know they were released back then (at least "They Shall Die" and probably "Second to None" - that one was at least recorded back then) since I'm currently reading an interview with the band that was published in 2006 (print/fanzine), but the formats remain unknown.

Don't know if he does/did that for more albums without having proof or simply adding it the wrong way, but he adds lots of missing formats, so could be. But since he's a Metal Freak he should already know that?

Reverted his edits to Requited and added them as different versions.

Can somebody ask where Milos got the lyrics for Bestia Arcana's Holokauston album? I have the CD and it didn't come with lyrics. According to discogs, the vinyl doesn't have lyrics either. The question marks in the lines of track 2 are pretty suspect and I removed them already. If he doesn't come up with a reasonable answer within a day or two, I'm removing the rest of them.

The pictures of the vinyl on discogs looks like it might have the lyrics, but I can't really tell. I've asked him to respond here.

EDIT:

There are lyrics on vinyl version. You could play the album and check that the lyrics are correct.
I also have asked few times the members to send me lyrics, so it's not impossible to have lyrics when it's not in the booklet.
About question marks in the second song, there are missing parts in the lyrics which are maybe from the Bible but I'm not sure, I understand just some words.

Alright. I’ve been on a bit of a hunt trying to remove guessed lyrics. Rather than having question marks, it looks a lot more legitimate just posting what was printed.

Would someone mind checking to see if I set this "page" back to being correct, please? I was going in to add the digital version, and I know I hit the "+" to add a new version, but next thing you know I found myself having edited the original CD listing. I just want to make sure I have put everything back in place. I think a few of the track times were different by a few seconds on the (CD) version, vs the digital one, but I can't recollect what they were? :( My computer started acting up a bit, acting like it was going to freeze, and I think that's what messed me up.

Here's the link to the CD version that I messed up on, and am not sure if I corrected it correctly. It's o.k. if any points need to be taken away, I understand if so. https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/P ... and/603152

Seems fine to me, not sure if that 1 second off on the track length makes much of a difference/is important to the staff (which I am not).

If in doubt, you have always the option to look into the "update history" to check if you missed something.

https://www.metal-archives.com/release/edit/id/710972 I accidentally added this release twice, because I hit save twice due to my impatience of my connection. I don't know how to delete a release, can someone delete one? There is two of this exact release.

It was approved based on this (from the submission notes). Apparently the physical version came out earlier than the digital one (and telling from the notes on MA, only in Brazil and Latin America).

I am curious about something and then also have a problem.

What I am curious about is that I am on Netherbird's page updating a few things, and I happened to notice something. A few days ago, I had made a comment on here about Sacred Son, and that when I had updated the picture of the CD version, with an uploaded image of the actual CD, it had changed all of the other version pictures, in which I had to go back and re-correct. I happened to notice this again, on Netherbird. On one of their albums I went to change the picture of the CD version, to have a picture of the actual CD, and instead of just letting it change just that one, it changed it to all the versions. So, I had to go back and change all the other ones again. **It seems apparent that when you change the first version's picture, it will change all of the other ones. Why does it do this? Unsure if you guys are even aware that it's doing this, but this is twice it's happened this week.

Also, still on the topic of Netherbird, on the single "Pillars of the Sky", I was adding the band members, and when I did, and went back to check to make sure that I had added them all correctly I noticed that it added them twice, once correctly and then again as (Additional line-up) https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/N ... Sky/711428 and, I don't know how to get rid of the additional line-up. Can someone help with that please?

Not only does the line-up need to be removed; the version needs to be removed. It serves no purpose.
A2: Don't add the line-up to the child version. The line-up of the parent entry will show for each and every version.
In case of "Remastering" among other credits, when you add those to the child-version line-up, they will be listed under "Additional musicians".

Unless no scan is available, please don't change a digital image/scan for "a picture of the actual CD". That's not the way to go about this.
A1: You're not doing it wrong. When you change the parent photo, all photos still linked to it will automatically change as well.

Thank you for taking the time to help me understand this and correcting me, Antioch. I do appreciate it. I am sorry for messing that up, but will remember for future reference :)

Oh, wait, but why does the version need to be removed, it was from their actual Bandcamp? I noticed it wasn't added so that's why I had added it. The other was from the label. I'm a bit confused?

When a single is released on multiple labels, do you add a version per label? The answer's no - which I hope you know. ;) Apply the same logic to this, and you'll realise that adding an "independent" version is redundant.

Thank you again, I honestly did not know this about singles! Honestly, I did not. I rarely add singles to begin with, so this comes as a complete shock to me!

Actually you know this is the first instance I have come across like this, where a "single" was involved (between label and independent). In that case, not only should https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/N ... Sky/711428 be removed, but also https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/N ... rds/711433 and https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/N ... Sin/711436

As I did not (honestly) know this information about singles, but Antioch was kind to let me know about it, unsure since I did this 3 times today, if points need to be docked. If so, I completely understand. But, now I know! :)

Any news on this guy?

added ridiculous formats to albums of https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/R ...
