Dracyor (Germany)
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Dracyor/3540489182

As much as I wanted for this band to stay I came to the conclusion that it's too early. They have one metal single that is over 5 minutes too long true, but they also have an acoustic ballad and an acoustic interlude released as singles. The interlude is released under the name Lord Dracyor if for some reason this should be considered a separate entity, but I wouldn't consider it since the same logo is used as on other releases so it's obviously an alternate spelling. Neither of the singles also build a very convincing case in terms of artworks since all of them just contain a logo, although the one for the metal single has the most effort put into it. Here are all three singles to take a look at, but I really think we should wait for the album with this one.

Deleted Visionary666 (Netherlands) - a minor name change from Visionary to Visionary666 took place prior to the release of the band's full-length album. Removed the more recent entry to the site.

It needs to be removed and re-added I think. ;)

I would say that this should be dealt with as this band https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Wrekan/3540475092 where the band name was modified from Vråk to Wrekan. But that's just my two cents. Mods opinion?

Kontra (Chile) "Kontramundo" sounds like the 'more metal' of the 2 releases here for streaming, but not a very obvious case of a band that plays metal. It's in there somewhat, but maybe not enough. The other release is far from it. Overall opinion leans towards Kontra being deleted, but could go either way.

Here is a youtube stream for those of you who don't want to use Portal-Disc.

Any consensus on this?

What do the mods think?

From Vråk to Wrekan seems like a rather insignificant name change tbh. And for this, we don't really know whether it's a name change or EP just being repurposed under the other name. All online platforms, except for Bandcamp, still list this as his solo release. There's also this http://www.yiannistziallas.com/projects, no mention of any Cyclopean Walls.

Deleted Gatling (Canada). Found and listened to clips from their earlier releases (as well as the ones provided in Antioch's report that Witcher posted a link to above), and their music is far from being legitimate metal.

Enemy of the Sun (Germany)
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/En ... _Sun/94638

I looked at Progressive Thrash Metal with Death/Black influences tag, took it for a spin, and was I in for an unpleasant surprise. The music is not even close to that. Might be some groove/thrash metal but there are also many non-metal things going on there like Faith No More styled alternative/funk rock, nu-metal, and even metalcore. I don't know what to categorize this mess as but I think this should be inspected a bit more closely.

Both albums are now on YouTube for those interested in handling this inquiry.

The Metal moments on both albums are: "希望ノ灯", "古狼ノ血涙", "戦場の陽溜り", "澪ノ風" and "圖南ノ鵬翼"

The rest is a mix of Oi!, Melodic Hardcore, Skate Punk and Alternative Rock

I came here to ask about this one, but it seems it's already been brought up. Apparently the band was accepted based on their 2006 album, but neither of them sound predominantly metal to me. More like punk with some metallic moments. Their first album sounds more metallic to me, but if it is metal enough I think it would be by a pretty thin margin. Did these ever get reevaluated?

Any update on this one? Last thing I saw on it was that KingSpooky said it was borderline and could use a second opinion.

Has this band actually released their only listed album?
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Vo ... 3540489196

Here the release date is June 30 and only a few of the songs can be purchased/downloaded
https://voiceofdrenai.bandcamp.com/releases

It is true that the person who added them could see the song lengths at some point, apparently, so maybe it could be downloaded before the intended release date.

Thanks

It was available at time of submission. Song lengths have been added by someone else. Maybe by someone who paid/downloaded the album back then. Why it has been changed now, I don't know.

Hello.
The following band is listed as "progressive metal", but it sounds mostly like alternative/nu metal/hard rock to me. I may be wrong, but I'll leave their Soundcloud page for the moderation to decide:

Implode the Abyss is okay in my opinion. Some CDs were only distributed on CD-R format, and some that are the same way have been accepted at times this year. The release was added by the band's vocalist, and you can still hear the songs on their ReverbNation page and they have an active Facebook page with further information.

VL 45 is definitely not legitimate metal. Will get another opinion or two on it and should be able to clear it off the site shortly.

Hello
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ad ... 3540490426
Apparently their EP hasn't been released officially.

To be honest, I added this band, which was in the ready to be submitted thread; I had my doubts, even sent an email to the band, but I was told they were fine to submit. Yesterday I received their reply and it clearly said the EP will only be available for purchase after it's been officially presented (the intented presentation in 2020 was cancelled due to COVID). It must be noted that in the email I specifically asked if the EP could be bought and they weren't even like "well, it hasn't been released but you can buy it if you want", they didn't offer me the chance to get it.

The EP was reviewed in an online magazine but that isn't considered a release as far as I know, as it's very common for bands to send copies to magazines before an album's release date.

Thanks

Argent Strand: Their matmaterial seems to be in the unacceptable deathcore style with a heavy emphasis on hardcore breakdowns and cchugging. The band has some death metal parts in their song, bu iit's hardly consequent.
