(for the dipshit who's so bothered each time one of these riffless hair rock atrocities gets nuked from the site that you have to put in a homophobic report coming off like an angry 5th grader - get over it, loser. Poison also will never be added to the site.)

Updated votes for bands that have been brought up here and decision not yet reached (please post if there are others that got missed here) -

Vomit Slit - indifferent
The Dog Park Incident - indifferent; there are some bands that sound more borderline than this to me that are on the site.
Jaded - sounds okay to me, but if other mods think that they should be deleted, no strong opposition here.
Scott Motyka - sounds okay to me
Front 776 - musically indifferent
Crna Udovica - vote for it to stay - enough galloping riffs and energy here that it comes off as metal
Sargent Fury - lean towards deletion
Like Drone Razors Through Flesh Sphere - vote yes for deletion. Of their 25 releases at Bandcamp, these are the only 3 that I could see them being potentially being kept for, which should be noted if kept. 95% ambient/drone.
https://ldrtfs.bandcamp.com/album/scorpiace (1 song)
https://ldrtfs.bandcamp.com/album/meditation (tracks 1 + 3)
https://ldrtfs.bandcamp.com/album/funeral-mantra (tracks 1 + 2)

Update: Siegertyp - vote for deletion

The AOR/hair metal enthusiast is upset that the precious Rok Sally got deleted... awww, not Rok Sally! Sorry to spoil your day. Please educate yourself on what thrash and black/death metal are rather than flagging bands that I've added of these genres to be removed in retaliation for deleting such bands. Maybe you haven't left your mom's garage/basement since 1983, but a lot has changed since then, including that it is lame to be so insecure and homophobic in these childish reports you continue to leave, not as a respected member of the site but in the slithering form of a guest that has to continually change your IP address. You site Ted Nugent and Motley Crue (yeah, I know they're on the site, but..) as 2 of the top 3 bands that are playing metal proper? Dude, you are beyond pathetic and misinformed. And this powermetalsucks link that you're now putting into reports looks like the work of trolls, so please don't expect me to read or care about a word on it. Anyone who sees such reports can just close them. It's this kind of snotty, IQ-score-of-a-marble-but-still-gonna-throw-in-my-two-cents-and-feel-good-about-it attitude/mentality that so often goes with the territory of toothless hick rock and hair-floofing glamour doll fanboys that continues to make my respect level for music like this wane. Don't even waste your time putting in more reports. If anything, it will just create more inspiration for me to harpoon another FM radio rock band or two off the site.

(so there were actually 4 people spending their time plotting to put in "similar reports", according to the latest 'report', until I take a minute to tell you guys off? Holy crap, your lives must be worthless. Don't even actually know or care about what you're talking about or trying to prove about the power metal thing, but believe me - you've made no impact on how I'll be listening to music. Only that I'm grateful that the people that I know in real life don't stoop to the level of putting in troll visitor reports to try to find stimulation in life. Hope you all grow up sometime soon).

This is a copy and paste from Discord for https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Th ... ture/99814

Quote:
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Throat_Culture/99814 something is wrong here; check the albums
First off, https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/T ... rde/642635 and https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/T ... orde/53347 look the same
Even the cover is the same
The other releases have the Throcult logo on the cover
Also note how they're from 2002 and later; Throat Culture's active years are 1997-1999. IDK if these should all be moved to Throcult's page and the page deleted or what

Basically, all of the releases on Throat Culture's page are on Throcult's page, and the years are all outside of Throat Culture's years active. Based on this, I'm not sure if Throat Culture having a page is actually justified.

Deleted Zalim (Indonesia) - duplicate entry that went unnoticed for 12 years; a misspelling of Zhalim.

If Shock are viewed as problematic, then you shuld also check the german female band Rosy Vista. They are certainly heavier than Vixen, but willprobably turn to be more hard rock than melodic metal:

The recent additon of Edelweiss is quite surprising, to say the least, since the band plays the same fytyle of occult/psychedelic rock as the blacklisted bands Black Magik SS and Assassination. There is no difference, this is seventies style psychedelic rock and their riffs arenot more metal or heavier tthan of those bands. It is certtainly not heavy/doom metal, as they were submitted. assassinaion wre equally surprisingly accepted and then deleted.
All reviews, in this case really all, describe this a psychedelic rock:

Yes, that's riffier, but still mostly psychedelic rock/hard rock imo.
Beises that, these types of riffs are used by AsssaSSination too:

I have no idea how you think Edelweiss and AssaSSination sound alike apart from being heavier psychedelic-inspired bands because they're worlds apart riffwise. Edelweiss has stripped down production values with obviously NWOBHM-inspired riffs played in a tone reminiscent of Reagers-era Saint Vitus whereas AssaSSination is pretty much a clone of Black Magick SS only with more slightly doomier Hard Rock riffs. The riffs on the latter don't gallop or have any of the propulsion of the former.

Another thing: I posted their entire discography in my initial submission emphasizing the aforementioned Behind Our Masks, so I'm confident the moderators gave the material a thorough assessment.

Deleted Depressor (Croatia) - not really a name change but rather an alternate spelling the artist Vanja Gvozdanović would use for his releases. Sometimes he would use both his real name and Depressor name, sometimes only the Depressor name, and sometimes only his real name. His first album included both and many of the artworks to this day still feature both titles.

Edelweiss was pretty straightforward to me; I didn't even feel the need to add "rock" to the genre based on the supplied listening material. Consistently riffy, a second mod agreed. Case closed.

Sargant Fury (Ger) deleted - rock.
Throat Culture (US) - deleted - minor name change to Throcult.
Langsuir (Malaysia) deleted - had released albums as Langsuyr from 2005-2016; minor name change. Deleted the newer entry.

The consensus on the rest of the bands that were brought up is that they should stay, except for Siegertyp and Like Drone Razors Through Flesh Sphere, which I think should both be deleted - but this needs a second mod opinion. Genre changes were made for 3 of the bands that had been brought up.

The most metal element on the album are the meloci and technical solos, but solos alone do not crate a metal song alone and they are used to various lelenght and repetition revie in the single songs. all in all, the style on the album reminds of me of the more recent street unk album by rancid, only with some added heavy metal style solos here and there. I hope, that this ,quite exhaustive
(for mecertainly ) and extensive review wiwill animate some of the mods to try to kindly revaluate the album and recongnize the controversies in soud, which were described by me, too:

Here is for comparison another more recent samurai spirit oi! band, New Born Masters. this band is cleaclearly ioi!ppunk oriented, and you can sesee the simillarities in their style and the style of New Dawn. The more melodic and technical solos on the New Dawn album are the only difference:

Deleted Like Drone Razors Through Flesh Sphere (Spain) - ambient/drone; virtually no metal to be found here.

Including Laci Violett? How come? Plenty of their songs don't have metal riffs. Or at least that's what I remember.

Regarding Front 776: was my argument with the musical similarity to the blacklisted band Blitzkrieg taken into consideation?
The is practically the same band, with only a minor line-up change, prlaying a very similar style of rac. I have provided a Blitzkrieg album for comparison.

Yeah, including Laci Violett. It's been checked, and had recently been assessed by 2-3 moderators. New Dawn, Hunting Season, and Front776 were also assessed, and we're all caught up here, with the one exception of Siegertyp, which is waiting for a mod consensus (should be deleted in my opinion).

Deleted Grunks (Brazil) - minor name change to Gruunks.
