But today it was added to the site by the mod. What's going on? If it finally qualified as a eligible digital-only band, my submission should be restored, right?

Mod's:

Respect you guys, as alway.

Sorry about that. As with borderline music, there can sometimes be internal disagreements about what digital releases still qualify. In this particular case the mods who signed off on it were also unaware that two other mods had previously rejected your submission. I've awarded you some points, no need to switch two basically identical pages.

Vavoura band https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Va ... iscography sounds predominantly 70s hard rock to me:
1980 single:
https://youtu.be/uJMEQVU4IOo (this is probably their most metal sounding track)
https://youtu.be/Uc23jGOOGNs

1982 split:
https://youtu.be/nLCCRZ1g2V8 70s hard rock/early metal ala Deep Purple
https://youtu.be/F_mP-WIstXQ - blues ballad and it is almost two times longer than the previous track

The Norwegian band Ansgar, who supposedly plays "viking metal". First of all , all instruments are synthesized. I have noticed, that this fact alone cannot be automatically disqualifying under the current rules. But listen to the whole album: The guitars sounds, sound more like some computer clicking then real guitars and are completely buried in the mix and oversilnced by the dominant keybords. They are also very far from pplaing really sharp and edgy metal riffs. What comes out sounds more of the time like the fantasy bacground music sounds from my PC, when I was playing RPG games like KnightsOf Xentar. Is it metal? I think not. Please, also read the album review here at Metal Archives. Full album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMs2tA3vz8w

I remember judging the album as acceptable, but I'd have to listen to it again. On that point, the reviewer you mention is also the person who ultimately approved the band. ;)

The American band Hands iplays imo more post-hardcore than ssludge/post-metal. This goes both for their riffing and the structures of their songs, their music reminds me of bands like Rosetta. Plrease listen: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0izxBvXmKysQwbtFDJr6dZ

Some more:
Band 1: Palvonta
I do not think, that their album listed here was properly released. The only info on the internet are some soudclips, which seem to end abruptly or are just unfinished rehearsal versions of the songs. The sond and production quality also greatly differs on these tracks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue6t-QBooOgh
The description, which seems to be from the official source, says , that these are the only soundclips that exist from the black metal band Palvonta. Did Piotr actually have a chance of listening to the complete versions of the songs, bofore submitting the band?

https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Pa ... 3540297216

Band 2: Sindarin
The datadatabase page says, that their demo was limited to 100 copies, yet the format is unknown. The only info about the release I could find was at Firestream.net and Metal kingdom, both of which seem to have copied ttheir info from Metal archives. It also says on the Firestream page, that 0 of their members owns it and nobody has it for sale. Their myspace page presents only incomplete samples of the songs , marked as previews. (That's at least what I get from the description, since myspace does not work for me(. There is simply no info about distribution or physical release on the net.

Band 3: Parakaleín
Their album "Kristi Krigare was supposedly released physically in 2013, yet there is almost no trace of it on the net. The only links I could find are ton empty files archives on Youtube and to a download link that apparently does not work. Suspicious, isn't it?

Ur Nord Germanisch
I saw this band in the genre change thread and I don't think it's actually metal at all.

Samples:
Ein Mjollnir statt ein Kreuz: https://yadi.sk/d/ogOkbMNN3A8kQo
Le magicien des fjords: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFh8HOiBvrs
A Sacral Day: https://soundcloud.com/user-597112908 (Most/all tracks here)
Son of the Giant: https://wodansohn.bandcamp.com/track/son-of-the-giant

Can't find samples of these two, but they're described as ambient here:
Im Reich wo nur das Überleben zählt: http://lemondedenarcisse.free.fr/demo.htm
Gebet für Wodan: http://deiseal.free.fr/BC/mailorder/cat ... autres.htm

These two releases aren't even by this band:
Oubliettes: https://www.discogs.com/Oubliettes-Secr ... se/9840333
Ur Nord Germanisch: https://www.discogs.com/David-Engels-Ur ... se/7876318

The guy's other band, The Mythologians, is suspect as well. There is a linked review and this listing, but can't find any samples.

Just wanna note that there's somebody who claims to have been their drummer in the Youtube comments, maybe he can provide some answers.

I know that Mike Vescera (who has been on many albums I have discussed on my YouTube channel) is the vocalist, so I'm thinking it's listed here for this reason only. However, Safe Haven's sole album is more AOR than anything else going from what I've heard, as opposed to the usual traditional metal Vescera usually performs.

Deleted. This wasn't a valid side project, it appears to have been incorrectly accepted as a metal band a long time ago.

I wrote that review after a long debate with Derigin about whether or not it was acceptable as a metal band. The mix is indeed terrible, and the poorly synthesized guitars are secondary to the synths, but we agreed that this release was metal, despite the terrible execution. It's a borderline case, and it's hard to not judge it based on the poor quality, but I believe this judgment was consistent with our judgment of other bands whose music is synth-laden and/or uses synthesized guitars.

The "Creator" album starts -core but by the third track onwards it gets obvious Sludge Metal riffing on most of the tracks.
So at least there's a borderline album that could be acceptable. I'll not nuke it but give a complete and repeated listening to all the discography first.

Btw, if you can find "The Everlasting" for listening (2008) It would be appreciated. According to some sources, it's probably their sludgiest.

Genre was changed to "Atmospheric Sludge Metal/Post-Hardcore".

Sincronisity
A heavier breed of nu-metal, but still very much so.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=batYwuz5QAk
https://www.discogs.com/Sincronisity-Wi ... se/4972830
There are a few metal riffs here and there, but, all in all, this isn't predominantly metal.

Unfortunately I could only find the song "Returning", which iindeed sounds heavier than their later stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1NarKn7iWk

Second Question: Regarding my post about the black metal bands Palvonta, Sindarin and Parakaleín, was the info I have provided notified and is currently somebody working on that report? I understand, that the validation takes some time in such cases, but it would be nice to know, if somebody has already included it in his agenda?

I was about to submit band Shadow Domain/album Digital Divide which released yesterday; has Sybreed vocalist Ben, Kris Norris on guitars. However I was reading the rules on what's considered appropriate and given industrial and djent are not allowed I was wondering if Sybreed should be here (there's no doubt Shadow Domain shouldn't). I can see it's been mentioned in the past but not discussed at length.

Sybreed is not djent at all, it's modern groove metal with an industrial approach and some extreme metal influences. Totally acceptable.

Oubliettes deleted, the self-titled one seems fine. Looks more like way of showing that he, as a artist, releases this album unter the name "Ur Nord Germanisch". Not sure this is meant to show a change in name.

Band 3: Parakaleín
Their album "Kristi Krigare was supposedly released physically in 2013, yet there is almost no trace of it on the net. The only links I could find are ton empty files archives on Youtube and to a download link that apparently does not work. Suspicious, isn't it?

I'm working on it ;)

Regarding Parakalein:
They were on the archives, then deleted for not having a proper release and then this:
viewtopic.php?p=2328163#p2328163
Seems like there was a proper release in 2013.

Thank you, paganiusi, for answering and caring. Regarding parakaleín: What is suspicios, iis the fact, that every mp3 was completely deleted from the net, as well as any mention of the band and its album other than in our database. Could It mean, that the release was disowned or pulled back by the musician? I don't know... Please, see also here: http://theblackestlight.freeforums.net/ ... -exist-own

Or the artist just ended the project and deleted his pages, because he doesn't feel like keeping it up.
Anyway, I'll keep checking ;)

Parakaleín:
I don't understand why a band disappearing off the internet is even an issue, but the demo tape definitely existed:

And here's a rip of the 2013 CD:

Sindarin:
There are photos of the CD in the photos section on myspace:

Deleted Cutthroat - their one album was originally released under their (likely) previous name, Atomik Cocktail.

Might Of Rage: The band is listed as death/thrash metal, but to me it sounds like the momodern tough guy metallic hardcore in the style of Hatebreed:

Agree with Witcher here, this is hardcore (...or borderline crossover at best). Letting another mod have the final word.

Sounds crossover to me. It has the riffs. No reason to delete in my opinion, but correction of genre would be appropiate.

In my Opinion, the death metal band Supplication (pre-Embodyment ) should be deleted. The reason : demo "The Persistent Sin was apparently released on tape already under the Embodyment monicker and supplication had not valid releases of their own. Please, read this detailed bio: https://deadtoselfradio.com/band.php?artist=Embodyment

Technical matter.

- https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Rekuiem/58403

Is it really necessary to keep both entries? Requiem >> Rekuiem
