As I've told you before, we're just going to have to agree to disagree on those more recent RAC/hardcore punk/metal additions and it would be better if you simply stopped bringing them up in here. These are not accepted lightly, usually with more than one mod being part of the evaluation process.

It was accepted as a side project, but since the music is very far from real metal (the band's official biogrphy even calls it "heavy funk rock") and since the band's impact on the general metal scene is doubtful, I don't see many reason, why this should stay. It is well known among Suicidal Tendencies fans, but the acceptance among "normal" metalheads may vary and as the side projects of Cynic musicians, which were progressive rock, were also deleted, I see it as a similar case.

That side-project is fine under the existing rules for non-metal exceptions.

YoYou can read here, tha British Lion member Richard Taylor considers the band to be the continuationg of the origianl British Lion from the nineties rather than a sside project of an iron Maiden member:

In the light of all this, is there really a reason to still keep British Lion listed in the database?

Seems like a side-project to me.

Witcher, when it comes to non-metal exceptions/side-projects, it's probably best not to continually bring them up for removal. We keep an ongoing record of those exceptions, and reassess them among staff as needed. Generally, the ones we currently have are very likely here to stay, and the current policy is more or less to keep things the status quo.

Deleted Hidden Rage (Italy). They were added today with a 'zine article being the source of evidence. It turns out there was either a misprint (multiple times) in the article, or they had changed their name to Hidden Rage briefly before splitting up. Added a note and alternate spelling to the Hidden Hate page.

Thanks again. Here's an older request, which I think has some merit.

Deleted Insania (California). Duplicate entry - it is the Illinois band. Songs from listed '93 demo were on the Retrospect Records compilation in '08 and their first demo from '90. Made a note that they may have relocated to California at some point (likely a California address was given in the inlay).

Ripcord (USA): The one EP I was able to find sounds predominantly nu metal. I could only find one song off their debut album. It seems 50/50. Maybe they should stay until someone checks out the entire album, but I think they're worth reevaluating.

Deleted the band Jan Stones. Band name changed to Fergon after a few months of activity, and logos on original releases were switched out with the new one. Fergon now searchable by Jan Stones, and have made a note on the top of the band's page and on these 3 particular releases.

New Dawn (Jap)- I know, that the band was already bbriefly mentioned in this thread, but I now had an opportunity to lislisten to their first album, upon, the band was accepted, for the first time for full. The musici is imo clearly and prdomiantly based in oi/punk , the rhythm section srts a punkish pogo inducing rhythmical backbone for the songs and the guitars just follow those structures, the olny seldom got the place play aan aggressive riff in metal style. The most metal element on the album are the meloci and technical solos, but solos alone do not crate a metal song alone and they are used to various lelenght and repetition revie in the single songs. all in all, the style on the album reminds of me of the more recent street unk album by rancid, only with some added heavy metal style solos here and there. I hope, that this ,quite exhaustive
(for mecertainly ) and extensive review wiwill animate some of the mods to try to kindly revaluate the album and recongnize the controversies in soud, which were described by me, too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPs8dpxJrpk

Here is for comparison another more recent samurai spirit oi! band, New Born Masters. this band is cleaclearly ioi!ppunk oriented, and you can sesee the simillarities in their style and the style of New Dawn. The more melodic and technical solos on the New Dawn album are the only difference:

Deleted Lethal (UK). This band is post-Trojan, pre-Talion (both listed bands on this site) and their only recording "Twilight Sound" seems to have never been released. The recording itself has been known about for a long time but still hasn't surfaced, and no evidence of its existence can be found. Mentioned this on Trojan and Talion pages, and added Lethal as an alternate name for Trojan so that people can see this info if specifically looking for that recording.
