Nevermind, don't want to start something silly. The band member is probably right.

I vaguely remember that I have mails on this issue. I will look later and see whether I can still find them; MySpace, when I recall it correctly.

From a MySpace mail.

Any news about Falloch (I hope this wont be another Liam case)? It's funny reading the review describing the music as post-black metal lol.

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Nie ... 3540334496 should be removed already in MA as Niels Vejlyt, the correct band's name.

Is this band acceptable for submission?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6aMIl61 ... re=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XTDECU5qFI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5DSbx77 ... re=related

And if yes, what would be the music style. Is just 'Heavy metal' good enough? They kind of have influence from lots of things to my ears like oi! and even enka music, but whether there's enough to bother mentioning them is another thing.

I'd say nay. They sound like rock/punk pop to me.

I've deleted ABMS 696 that was accepted today as it's the same band that was previously listed as Asian Black Metal Sinndikate 696. I've renamed it to A.B.M.S. 696 as they use this abbreviation on all their releases, they just now decipher it as "Asian Beastial Metal Sinndikate". Also, the release that was added to the new entry actually had the cover of "Asian Bestiality Live DVD" instead of "Armagedda 696" full-length, so I'm not sure if the tracklist is correct. If someone will get correct cover and tracklist, they may add it to their page.

Norwegian band Overthrow.
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ove ... 3540334513

- It's been almost a month since it was accepted and there has been added no discography to their profile and there's no definite proof of an acceptable discography on their links. I'll delete the band entry in a few days if nothing changes.

There is a demo, I'll add it. I suppose moderators should pay attention to this when accepting the bands. Band genre should be modified too.

I am wondering why did you accept the band at first since you are not sure about the release? Anyway I added the demo and it's physical I dunno if there is another release.

Wheelz of Steel:
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Whe ... 3540302267

I know the members are paraplegic and all, but come on:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDIDO9PTvXw
That's not metal. Sounds more like disorganized post-punk.

Yeah...no. We've been over this; it's technical brutal death metal with a bit of grind influence. If you were going to delete them, you'd have to delete Cephalic Carnage and Brain Drill too, because they all fall under the same category of technical death metal/grindcore.

Now *here's* a band that really needs deleting:

Mathcore/metalcore.

Are you serious? This is noise/jazz based grindcore with extremely limited death metal influences. I seriouly would like to hear a moderator's opinion about this.

Noise-based grindcore? I don't hear any noise in this at all (at least, not noisegrind in LDOH fashion or anything), and the jazz influence is really faint; hell, this band use less jazz than Atheist do. I hear Brain Drill riffs in ISR more than anything.

I am deleting Wheelz of Steel, not metal. Botanist is experimental black metal, can stay. Ishitrobots are ok to stay, newest release is similar to brain drill also.

You are right about Ed Gein they certainly must be removed. Any decision about Falloch (predominantly post-rock)? For me Ishitrobots are far from being acceptable anyway it's your decision.

GraveWish, just how much noise/jazz-based grindcore (or ANY grindcore) do you listen to?

MalignantThrone is right, iShitRobots have a lot more in common with Brain Drill than, say, LDOH or older Intestinal Disgorge.

As for Ed Gein... ehh, how did they get accepted? >_>; This IS pure (non-metal) grind.

I had proof that there is a physical, I just didn't have the info on it. If I remember correct there is a second release.

Why http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bla ... 3540336305 is accepted? I suppose this is not a valid proof of physical release or else every single band in the world will draw a logo on a cd-r and pretend that their music is physically released. There is no cover even.

Has it occurred to you that the submission notes might've mentioned that 100 copies of that CD were circulated at a gig, in blank transparent jewel cases and not given two thoughts about paying for the paper and ink for cover art? Or that they even had the abilities to produce a cover?

First I suppose normal users can't see the submission notes.
Second if what are you saying is true then this should be mentioned on the demo's additional notes, if not by the user then by the moderator who accepted the band (to avoid confusion in the futur).
