Best regards. Well, my friend Midnightwards666 sent me to create this thread so that the mods and metal knights, can better explain the disputed status, so as to avoid confusions, unnecessary modifications, etc, also much more, passing so that it is useful to any regular user that him bump with this case, resolving reports, can start!

Postsdata: In my case, it's with Advent Sorrow, that I'm still very insecure, despite having 3 proofs:

The best explanation of the disputed status is from deri's news post announcing it's addition: https://www.metal-archives.com/news/view/id/229

Basically the status should be used when there is an ongoing public/known dispute over the status of the band by the band members themselves. This can range from cases like Batushka, were both members claim to be the rightful owners of the band and have taken legal action, or cases like Angmar where the members simply don't agree on the status of the band (one views the band as completely over, the other just views the band as on hiatus).

Please avoid changing the status of bands to disputed on your own, it's usually best to let a mod do it. All disputed bands should also ideally have a note explaining why the status is disputed, so people unfamiliar with the band can understand what's actually going on and what caused their status to be changed to disputed.

I'm sure he would have pushed strongly for them to be included. I'm guessing there was a fight among the mods over whether to include them, and it ended with Metantoine being imprisoned in Napero's Finnish ice wizard tower.
