For Mortiis Daemonium's The Nebular Return

the final triumph of milk&biscuits black metal - 100%
Written by Fistacchio696 on April 28th, 2008

best album since years. The definitely release for all homo black metal maniacs, believe me: if you don't download it, you're absolutely heterosexual.

Seems he wanted to find a download link for the album; how this user decided to add a review rather than use a search engine is beyond me.

For Fleshcrawl's Structures of Death:

Quote:
A good way of spend 43 minutes¡¡¡¡ - 88%
Written by Leandro_Riveros on April 29th, 2008

In the last years I've listened just a pounched of Death metal bands ( Morbid Angel, Suffocation a little bit Dark Tranquility), but always I've been looking to the distance this genre...
Some months ago, checking some info about SUffocatiion, I discovered that former name of the german metallers Fleshcrawl It was Suffocation, and quickly I felt the curiosity of heard something of them, I thought that for to share formerly their name with a band like suffocattion, they shoult play something interesting, agressive and finally I wasn't wrong.

Fleshcrawl plays a death metal old school with melodic influences, the voices are guturals but audibles, the riffs are progressive and use several guitars making this part one of the high points for the germans, the drums works is amazing, but I felt that the vocal work is far away the most destacaded for this album. Structure of Death contains 12 song of pure death metal, the lyrical themes are violences, death, destruction and maybe along with the voices the important aspect is the progressive and catchy riffs and melodies used in some tracks, don't expect nothing new, just a discommunal discharge of agression in good way, technique and old school death metal from the second song ( The first one is a weird intro)

Structure of Death certainly follows the past trends, and maybe just the speed keeps growing on, but in this case nobody can says that they are doing more of the same, simply because if you take some previous release and you compare with this, you'll notice, the same technique, the same versatility, the same anger for to sing but with diferences feelings, and a more mature sound, the goal seems to be the same as it ever was, but I swear it, this is fantastic.

ok Finally every song contained herein is expressed with desesperation, and I haven't doubts that you'll have a lot of headbanging moments with this album, no matter the day, the moment, this it's a devastataing and good choice if you want for some minutes feel energy inside of you... If you're looking for a different perpective of death Metal without let behind the old roots, powerful and desesperates growly vocals style, then you gonna find in this album a excelente NOt traditional metal band, that keeps safe the agressive style...

Don't waste time... death metal= flescrawl.... death metal = Structure of death...¡¡¡

For Moonspell's Night Eternal:

MAGNIFICENT and Brutal - 100%
Written by metal2000 on April 30th, 2008

it has been since I listened to Moonspell, I was focusing only in death black metal.
but you know this album blow me away from first track tell last one, from my side I think Moonspell change the way of gothic metal to better way from guitar riff and solo the keyboard , Especially the vocalist clean and growl even a women vocal .

Pretty clueless one for Reign in Blood

Generic Thrash Metal... - 5%
Written by DisembodiedMetalhead on April 30th, 2008

This album has gotten much praise through the years, more than it deserves. The album is a great example of poor and lazy songwriting which has picked up many fans only because of aggression. If it wasn't for the consistent aggression shown in each song, the album would be worthless. Every song is made up of boring riffs and monotonous vocals.

Only two songs stand out which have brought the album up. "Angel of Death" is the first song on the album. The riff is clearly influenced by Venom, because it is very similar to the song "Black Metal". The lyrics go on and on about pointless subjects regarding the holocaust while the vocals seem to be a little too fast for the music. The guitar solo is absolutely horrendous for many reasons. It has no connection with the song and doesn't show any technique or emotion. "Angel of Death" is certainly not the best thrash metal song of all time.

The songs following "Angel of Death" such as "Piece by Piece" are quite short fillers for the album. The album doesn't progress at all unlike "Hell Awaits". Tom Araya's vocals make the songs even worse, because they have no connection with the music. The worst song in the album is "Jesus Saves". It is a useless filler and follow up to "Altar of Sacrifice". The "best" song being "Angel of Death".

"Raining Blood" is the second song which stands out in the album. It starts out with a complex riff and drives into a dark silence. The song then goes to a very generic riff consisting of repetitive arrangements and typical "Reign in Blood" vocals and lyrical themes. If this song wasn't at the end of the album it would leave the listener clueless.

Many fans admire Slayer because of their speed and aggression. What they arn't realizing is that there are many other thrash metal bands that can produce speed and aggression also, while writing good songs. 1986 was a very important time for thrash metal, but there are forgotten gems such as "Pleasure To Kill" and "Darkness Descends" which were also at that time. "Rein in Blood" just isn't a classic or a musicial accomplishment.

--------------------------
I don't mind the 5%, I really don't, but at least back it up with something substantial and/or new.

Angel of Death = Venom's Black Metal = ?. I guess he's right 'cause he said 'clearly', so I must be missing something nearby.
Angel of Death's vocals are too fast???
Pleasure to Kill and Darkness Descends are forgotten gems? Where, on Pluto? Or to Helen Keller?

Kid, come back when you've listened to this more than once.

For Urizen's Autocratopolis

Express Review of "Autocratopolis" - 80%
Written by Descalabro on May 2nd, 2008

-A lot of melodic black metal clichés cleverly mixed with an avantgarde feeling.

-Strong and good inlfuence of computer games music.

-Lively musicianchip, good execution. No instrument stands out, but all add something. Some acoustic guitar added ala prog rock.

-Good songwriting: songs build up with direction.

-Good enough production: all instruments audible and clear.

-Vocals are clean in an ''epic'' style. Although decent and well placed, sometimes sound like shower vocals.

-I haven't read the lyrics, sorry.

For Garmadh's Debris Of History, punctuated dramatically by dawnsatan.

to the death - 84%
May 5th, 2008

older and colder

Firstly the intro is very extremely atmosphere and it can prepare to before listen the demo
First song's entering old style black metal and it importance filthy boat
Carnage with satan song has like trash but after trash part the song is very pure
According to me cold bloods is the best song in demo it remembered 80's late black metal
Last song is used by Garmadh for manifest . Certainly this song manifests Garmadh's style

TOO OLD AND TOO COLD
goat worship...

And one for War (Swe)'s Total War.

Elite of Swedish Black Metal - 100%
Written by darksemen on May 4th, 2008

This is one of the best black metal releases from Sweden. These four dedicated maniacs from Hypocrisy and Abruptum/ophthalamia have created a masterpiece of blasting, merciless, sharp black metal that many bands are simply uncapable of nor have the spirit to.
Comparing this mini album to the likes of Marduk is unfair, War are much better, much more dedicated and hellbent on destruction in the name of Satan. This is the pinnacle of swedish satanic war black metal.

Yet another for the day, this time for Bathory's Blood Fire Death.

Quorthorn's best work - 100%
Written by Naakhum on May 5th, 2008

I thnink that this is the most deep sound of Bathory, because in this record, quorthorn used acoustic sounds, hard riffs, hard drums and the folkloric sound that achieves a atmosferic album, but without forgetting the old school black metal legend.
I think that we are front the most epic work of Quorthorn, that conbines the legends with the mithology.
I belive that this album in his time created this "atmosphere" that so many bands have continued, for example Graveland, Enslaved's Frost and Vikingligr Veldi, Windir's Arntor and Satyricon's Dark Medieval Times and Shadowthrone.
The legend is eternal!

Just read this review for Cavalera Conspiracy's Inflikted

Lordflynn - 75%
Written by lordflynn on May 6th, 2008

It is done. Max and Igor are again with the poster of a single project. Code name: Cavalera Conspiracy. For the occaz the frangins associated the services of Marc Rizzo (Soulfly) but especially of our Joe Duplantier national. Good is well to make the mariole with a line up which is more than glittering, but it will be necessary to send the heavy one because the comparison with a certain group is likely to be felt, but made confidence with max, it succeeded has to leave us two three small bombinettes behind the faggots.

If one were to make a rather summary summary we let us can say that Inflikted is a kind of Arise soulflyesque. A skilful mixture enters the legend of Sepultura and a modernity found the entrails of the "new" baby of max. There is only to be caught "Sanctuary" in full head to realize of the potential of the album. Riff thrashy has wish with a song more modulated than ever. The live one promises some contusions. As us announced it the two brothers the tribal influences so expensive with Supultura are done more discrete, leaving the place and a brutal deterrent force like could it be Nailbomb. "Nevertrust" is the typical example of this effectiveness. Lyrics with the service of the percussif riff, not of ornaments. The title which drew more my attention is cavity "Ultra-Violent one" or one finds Joe with the song and Rex Brown (ex-Pantera, Down) with low. Even its guest is limited a little to the level of the impact musical, the result is rather convincing and there too that is likely to make badly into live. With dimensions Soulfly is prevalent on certain titles like the not less excellent "" Bloodbrawl ". Jumpy like never, it would really not have made spot in the discography of the group of Max.

While speaking about max it loves its family to such a degree that even its wire comes to make a small appearance on this wafer. The EC is on it is well Cavalera Conpsiracy. Small emotion thus on "Black Ark", or Richie goes there from its small voice. Level production Logan Mader has Fait wonders with a sound of scrapes enormous on the rhythmic one. On the other hand I find that some soli of Marc are well too ahead and too acute compared to general sonorities. It is only my opinion but good, this gene feeling only on some passages, nothing good engrave I appeared to me think.

A good gross slaughter daN this kind which leaves hoped for ebullient heat in the pit. Max at best of its form, Igor at best of its form been useful by two other musicians of talents and veiled Inflikted which will hurt. Highly this summer that goes pogoter severe in the festivals and everywhere in the world!!!!!!

It is done. Max and Igor are again with the poster of a single project. Code name: Cavalera Conspiracy. We will wait, but if he continues like that, it may happen, that his career will end abruptly.

This review really should be immortalized somewhere, no parodist could make it better.

It even contains suggestions for metalcore bands seeking for original names "Three Small Bombinettes behind the Faggots" should do the trick.

Good thing I'm not loving its family, I don't like wire on the wafer. The small bombinettes behind the faggots worry me though.

Written by Ektomorfed on May 9th, 2008

I`ve been waiting for this motherfuckers for 3 years and now they return with excellent release which is 1000 times better than cthonic ritres
this release contains 4 songs whch means that it`s easier to listen them because 2 songs on cthonic rites was hard to listen- they were extremely long
thus all the listening was like a torture
the music itself is better
Listen to them and get hooked
this fuckers know how to make a sick extreme music!

Somebody heard your pleas...

Reviews for All Shall Perish's Hate.Malice.Revenge

Hate.Malice.Revenge - 78%
Written by lordflynn on May 10th, 2008

All Shall Perish... still a band which bears its name well...

Because let us go straight to the point, it is not to count floweret to us, but indeed for once more all to destroy on their passage and nothing to leave upright that this quinquet American leaves us this "Hate.Malice.Revenge", their first album after a demonstration! And already the small pocket of this sum of money is perfectly evocative... The war, violence and death will be the Masters words here, and the compos of this group are with the height of this goal malefic... Imagine a death grind in what one could call the purest tradition of the style, unceasingly alternating fast ultra passages, equipped with instrumental tearing and an over-acute song, typically grind removed from rim, and passages death, quite heavy, quite powerful, equipped with riffs to make you tremble the ground and a song guttural as serious as devastating... Such are the two aspects of the music of All Shall Perish, knowing to combine speed and violence of the grind with power and force of the death...

A band which comes to show that the death/grind is had a perfect command of the in addition to-Atlantic, a proof which will not leave any place with the dispute here...

Reviews for Naglfar (Swe)'s Pariah

Write a review for this release.

that's there!! - 84%
Written by lordflynn on May 10th, 2008

that's there!! Naglfar was finally released from the yoke from too present and heavy influence from Dimmu Borgir and another Old Man' S Child, to inflict this "soft" more personal punishment to us, based on a mixture always black/death but gross of dismantling than before, answering in the name of "Pariah" and which bourrine in devil! The surprise is serious and this one is my very pleasant faith really very.

Naglfar, after many years of presence within the Swedish scene black (a good gross ten nevertheless and only four other misdeeds before Pariah), perhaps finally will succeed in being made a name and a true identity thanks to this small unexpected bomb of power and brutality. One thinks still a little of Dimmu Borgir of "triumphant Enthrone darkness", but one fortunately skids very quickly worms of heaviest and most aggressive as for examples Ragnarok or Tsjuder (without the side thrash...). Production is enormous and sound all bonnement époustouflant, returning justice compos well rotten, square and sharp-edged, which makes fly and puts at fire and blood our poor small ears, surprised per such an amount of control on behalf of a group, of which it should well be acknowledged, one did not await more really large-thing, finally me in any case, even if their precedent opus, "Sheol", were rather well accomodated. The component set of musicians Naglfar is well places from there, rôdé (that gets along!), accustomed to play together and us gratifie of a black more brutal than before, pleasant, unslung and carried out with great reinforcement of riffs of guitars and low swift and rageurs, a battery and its double-pedal at the edge of the rupture and vocal rather cavernous (the small key death all things considered) but ultra-powerful... It should be noted besides that the former appointed singer of Naglfar, Jens Ryden, left definitively in January this year; it thus saw itself replaced with vocal by another member emblematic of the group, namely Kritoffer "Wrath" Olivius, already bass player of its state. In any case, that brought, in my humble opinion, much of very positive things... Not badly of current exits, rather unimportant in quality but important in a number, exploit without shame the seam Dimmu Borgir and that made well a long time that I had not listened to an album of black with tendency symphonisante also "burné" and dense (even if no keyboard is present here); that really given pleasure of knowing that that comes us from a tough group, sincere and who trime since years to have a place and the least which one can say, it that the test is validated high the hand and that recognition of a larger audience, amply is deserved, should finally follow very quickly. In all the cases, I am in a hurry to see and especially to hear what the compos EC album will give into live at the time of futures gigs... The spectacle should be devastator!! This album will be able to thus like a great number of métalleux, amateurs of black "vain" or not, because the music majestueusement deployed here is not pressed on the unhealthy atmopshčre and the nauséeux side usual of the black metal, enough rejecting for the neophytes, but more on one brutality in spite of very mélodieuse (it is almost sympho!) and an energy both very cathartic, défoulatoires, which promise monstrous pogos and others headbangings... An album of quality which should logically find its place in any collection of chevelu(e)s of any hair and any edge...

Finally, let us guarantee that with this offering, never more Naglfar will not be treated in Pariah by the fans of metal...

---

His reviews seem to be also "removed from the rim"...

That seriously looks like it was written in Spanish and just thrown into babelfish. Note the totally random Spanish bits.

When i see this demo CD thank that not be important. But after of listen the songs, i samply loved this CD. Goods vocals, guitars, keyboards. The recording leaved of desire but... very nice!

1 - Out Of Darkness - This melodies of this song is similar to "forever" from Stratovarius, with acoustic guitars and folk keyboards. Very good! (5 out of 5)

2 - Carry On Away - Acoustic song in style of gospel/rock or hard rock. With beautiful vocals and backing vocals, with melodicals acoustic guitars and the longest acoustic song thati i listened. (5 out of 5)

3 - Jesus Christ - Weighted song in power/heavy in tracks of hard rock. The smallest song from this CD. But good! (4 out of 5)

4 - Neither Too Much, Nor Too Little - This is a wonderful song! beautiful! The song starts in a big speed and melody, with classical influences, vocal technicals and fastest guitars, wonderful! note 10! (4 out of 5)

Where it all began - 95%
Written by overkill2222 on May 11th, 2008

This is where Megadeth began. This is the time of pure thrashy goodness, without the NWOBHM-type riffs, progessive solos, and the overproduction. Let me tell you, this is magnificent from start to finish.

Each and every song is great. Though, the production is horrible, even worse on the remastered edition. Dave's signature whine is not as...whiny on this disc. Actually, it's more gritty and Lemmy-esqu. Mustaine and Poland trade off jazzy metal solos, not overly progessive, but technical none the less. Gar is the highlight of this album. His drums are jazz-like. The way his fills blend in with the music so good. The bass is still great, but not up front as in later releases.

This is essential to any metal head. Every track is good. Besides These Boots.

I forgot to paste the reviewed releases.
I don't remember the first one (not that much important). The second one is for Pureless Divine - Out Of Darkness.
The last one must be for Megadeth - Killing Is My Business...and Business Is Good!.
