The band Bullet Ride is looking for some reviews.

The band has offered me this link from their label, where you have some kind of form to fill out in order to get some promo stuff.

(not sure whether these are digital or physical)

PILLAGING VILLAGERS - Crossover Thrash/Folk Metal from Milwaukee WI.

Angry Metal Guy: ""4.0/5.0: Bands like Pillaging Villagers are the reason I write for this blog: first access to hidden gems, and the opportunity to hopefully provide them with a bit more exposure. This is the kind of record that screams “underground classic,” a wholly distinct release that not everyone will enjoy, but that the people who connect with it deeply fucking jive with. Admittedly, I’m not sure if I would love another album from this project that follows the exact same formula, but songs like the progressive and lengthy “The Crisis” prove that this sound has significant potential for upward growth. Outside of that though, you’ll get no spoilers from me. You’ve gotta hear this thing for yourself."

I submitted a review for the album "Desktop Metal" by Andrea Boma Boccarusso that is currently in the queue. It's a really good album and I would love to know what other people think about it.

For any fans of epic black metal with a progressive twist and a strong traditional heavy metal influence, I'd love to hear your thoughts on (and a potential review of) Wanderer of the Waste - specifically either the Voyage Through Obscurity or The Arcane Conquest EP's. I'm very influenced by The Chasm, Destroyer 666, Dissection, Blut Aus Nord, The Ruins of Beverast, Fates Warning, and all things obscure heavy metal.

If anyone is feeling adventurous and willing to review a non-Metal album in a band's discography, would anyone be willing to give The Electric Hellfire Club's groovy debut Burn, Baby, Burn a spin and review?

If anyone is looking for a shorter death metal release to cover for the challenge, my band Begravement has a demo that was released in January that has yet to be reviewed. We play thrashy OSDM, heavily influenced by Death.

Cheers!

Surprised to see no one has reviewed it yet, especially considering the band's status in the industrial scene. Might have to check this album out for the review challenge.

Hey all!

My second melodic death metal album "Madness and Blood" released a week ago. It's around 45 mins long, you can check it out as a full free stream on Bandcamp (or any streaming service Distrokid works with atm). Anyone interested can get a free download code from me. I'd love it if some of you checked it out and/or reviewed it.

Hello,

Hope you're all doing well. I released an album earlier this year titled 'Aelvica' by Anthems of Gomorrah. Could I ask any of you to listen to it and perhaps write a review here on this website or any other outlet you may be affiliated with? There is a sequel album releasing this month on the 15th also. Album is based on a dark fantasy story I've been writing for several years.

You can listen to/download the album from our BandCamp: https://anthemsofgomorrah.bandcamp.com/album/aelvica

Don't worry, there won't be any hate mail sent if it receives a bad review; I am simply curious as to what listeners think of my work.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,
TK of AOG

Hello everyone, I just released the third EP of my Hungarian Folk/Black project Táltos: Érezd hogy élsz. Includes a strong tribal influence and didgeridoo playing. This third EP is a bit more death metal influenced, while the other two are more punky. They all have only five songs and about twenty minutes of play-time.

Would appreciate some attention and feedback.

If anyone is interested in reviewing weird instrumental prog metal, then the recently released debut Earthcore of Berlin-based MURRAYGLOSSUS might be something for you.

Here's a link to the track "Elasmotherium" :

And this is the Bandcamp album link: murrayglossus.bandcamp.com/album/earthcore
Please message me if you'd like to use a download code!

It's also available on common streaming platforms.

Ben

P.S.: Some background: As a musician, audio engineer and longtime metal listener who has absorbed a variety of subgenres over the past decades, I've wondered why there is so little instrumental heavy music that doesn't try to impress with virtuosity but simply delights with grooves that encourage nodding along, with fat riffs and intriguing harmonies.

So in times marked by war and lunatic autocrats (Berlin is alarmingly close to Russia), an ongoing pandemic and imminent climate catastrophes, I have used the time we still have to pour my rattled thoughts into music - or make music to distract from them, depending on the mood. I teamed up with NYC-based prog drummer James Knoerl (Gargoyl, Aviations) to record "Earthcore", trying to realize my above ideas of heavy instrumental music. No vocals, because they always put a genre stamp on the music. Apart from that, I placed special emphasis on a punchy but natural, organic-sounding production.

I just want to peel back the curtain for a second and share a post I just disapproved that was waiting in this thread:

The Spambot wrote:
It amazes me that so few individuals in this situation have heard of Stone. In addition to being the finest Finnish metal band ever, they've also produced at least two of the best thrash albums ever (Colours and No Anaesthesia behind it). I would be honoured to hear your thoughts, Pyrus. I'm amazed that you're not familiar with that, Boris, considering your status as a thrash authority, or are you? Except if you're interested in placing an order at CDON.com EU, I can offer you any album of theirs that is ripped.

This is like the MA version of that one dude on reddit who always ends his stories with a line about his dad beating him with jumper cables.

Hi everyone, I'd like to request a review of one (or more?) of my several projects. A couple months back, I was happy to see that someone had left a review of one of the earlier Rotting Serpent albums ("Unblack Metal Ist Krieg"). It was really cool and I very much appreciate the time anyone takes to investigate my music with a critical ear, whether they end up liking it or not, but I found myself wishing they had reviewed one of the better albums under my belt, tbh. Even Rotting Serpent has albums which had developed markedly in sound from the first offerings. Having said that, some people end up preferring the earlier RS material to the later stuff, which is their prerogative. Everybody's different.

Thing is, Rotting Serpent is arguably my worst project out of all of them, as I look in retrospect. At least, in my opinion. I even stated as much in the RS bio on Bandcamp. Out of my own material (of which there is quite a bit spread across various bands), it is my later material which I'd like to bring more attention to in the community, especially the music from 2020 onward (which begins the process of recording by cellphone), although there were also some notable ones between 2014-2019 also.

Here's what I'll do: I'll compile a list of what I consider to be my better material, and if some kind, adventurous souls out there are willing to listen and review one, or some, or all of them (just wishful thinking, pay me no mind), then I would be much obliged, and very appreciative. Thanks in advance for any future reviews anybody may consider writing at all, or even for simply reading my request here, and/or checking out the music, etc.

First of all, a few days ago I left a post in the "Promotional Forum" concerning my [Atmospheric/Melodic Christo-pagan Black Metal] band Wothanskreuz. Here is the link to that post, where all the pertinent album info can be found: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=137356

Hi there,

If someone could do a review of our latest album, that would be greatly appreciated. Musically, this is Power/Symphonic/Prog metal. Happy to return the favor if you have something that needs reviewing in those genres.

Band: Soldiers of Forgiveness
Album: The Year of Virgo
Metal-archives link: https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/S ... go/1099128
Bandcamp: https://soldiersofforgiveness.bandcamp. ... r-of-virgo

Thanks!

A review for this new Québécois black metal band VESPÉRAL (including members of Ossuaire, Oppression & Conifère) would be more than welcomed, their debut cassette is going to be available in less than two weeks
but a youtube link has been online for a while now.

Thanks!

We (Adder's Fork, Dea Artio, In Dornen, Winter's Breath) are sharing a collaborative effort in "A Gathering of Four" - a split CD of us four Austrian bands, settled somewhere between heavy/gothic, atmospheric, depressive and classic black metal, with my part being the least "extreme" and having more classic metal elements and the others following with increasing aggression and a more unsettling atmosphere.

I'd love to get a review for our split album here, you can many tracks here:

https://runningwildproductions.bandcamp.com/album/a-gathering-of-four

For those who want to review us, I have select bandcamp redeem codes so you may have it for free as a reward for your words. CDs are also available, get in touch.

Thanks!

Hi guys
Mattias from Reboot the System here. I just released my debut album produced at Studio Fredman and would love to hear what you guys think.
If you like old school Death/Thrash from Gothenburg you are gonna like this.

It's a one man band with myself and a friend of mine doing the vocals. I also have Björn "Speed" Strid and Ronnie Nyman doing some guest appereances as well.
Feel free to do reviews on it as well here on Metal Archive.

It available on all streaming services and bandcamp.

Appriciate the support!
Cheers from Sweden
