Still looking to see a review of Hateform's Sanctuary in Abyss. Would still love to hear basically anyone else's thoughts on the album, as I'm not quite capable enough writing anything approaching an acceptable review myself. I'd also love to see a review of Feared's Synder and Furor Incarnatus albums. All the above albums are available on Spotify, Apple Music, or Youtube if neither of the previous options are available to you. I probably sound like a broken record, as I've been requesting a Hateform review for 4 or 5 years in here, but hey, can't hurt to keep trying. Haha. You'd be popping that album's review cherry!

I posted a request around the time of release for Zergoth's Thrash Odyssey Feb 14th 2019. Still trying to score a review on the archives \m/ Anyone up to the task? It would be most appreciated! Will also provide a digital DL if you'd like. Will send out a couple copies in return. Cheers \m/

Hey all, Tyrannus got it's first EP released via the usuals of Spotify, iTunes and all others via Distrokid in March of this year, but we seem to have started building a bit of momentum this week following us (finally) getting round to putting the release onto Bandcamp (albeit, missing our cover of Megadeth's The Conjuring).

To continue with this, I'm looking to get some reviews of our first EP. Good, slanderous; whichever is preferred. It's a little bit all over the place in regards to genre but I would probably say it's for fans of Megadeth, At The Gates and Death.

My band Begravement released our first demo earlier this month. It contains two fairly technical yet straightforward, classic-sounding death metal songs. Any reviews of our demo would be greatly appreciated.

This has me pretty interested. I will try to check it out soon, but if you could drop me an email (address on my profile) it would probably help me remember.

The new Alpha Drone for some inexplicable reason turned out to be the best song I ever recorded and totally ruins my bedroom black metal reputation by being so good...

Would anyone like to review any of these 3 albums? They were all released in the last year and I was the main lyricist on all of them. I could probably hook potential reviewers up with a CD copy of either of the first two, while the third is a "name your price" album on Bandcamp. I've provided listenable links for everything as well.

Agos - Black/death metal from the Greek perspective. Massive riffs and even bigger concepts. (Links in spoiler.)

Pentagrammaton - Melodic black metal entering the dark realms. Love the lead guitar on this! (Links in spoiler.)
Spoiler: show
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Pentagrammaton/Pentagrammaton/740338

Archaize - Groove death thrash metal with plenty of belligerence. Fat and modern. (Links in spoiler.)

Aussie band Aeons Abyss has just released their first full length album, featuring some songs written up to 29 years ago. OSDM vibe, with wide ranging influences and a unique sound. Album was mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Abbath, Sepultura, Mayhem)

Its a freebie on Bandcamp, but I can send any reviewer interested a CD if required (just flick me a message)

If folks are looking for something to review for the Virgin challenge, consider some releases from some of my current and former bandmates' other projects. I'd prefer not to cover them myself due to obvious conflicts of interest.

Charonyx - The Ultimate Judas (Prog/thrash metal FFO Annihilator, Testament, Forbidden)
https://charonyx.bandcamp.com/album/the-ultimate-judas

Mask of Sanity - World Full of Sin (Sludge/thrash metal FFO Death Angel)
https://officialmaskofsanity.bandcamp.c ... ull-of-sin

Tar Pit - Tomb of Doom (Stoner/doom metal FFO Electric Wizard, Cough, Monolord)

If anyone is looking for a couple more releases for the challenge, I'm in two bands with no reviews to our names. There's no pressure to give either of these releases a positive write-up: Just be honest, and I won't take anything personally. I will ask any users with a personal vendetta against me to refrain from reviewing these, though

Pyreworks (Comedy Melodic Death/Thrash Metal; similar to Amon Amarth, Skeletonwitch, At the Gates, etc.)

Pyreworks Is Destroying Our Nation! album on Bandcamp

Pyreworks Is Destroying Our Nation! album on Spotify

Pyreworks Is Destroying Our Nation! album on YouTube

We will also be releasing a holiday-themed EP on Friday, which will be available here.

Begravement (Death Metal; similar to Gorguts, Death, Demolition Hammer, etc.)

...to the Grave demo on Bandcamp

If anyone is looking for a new record to tackle for the current review challenge, I would highly suggest The Old Dead Tree's final extended play The End:

The record is only twenty-three minutes long and the band certainly deserves more attention!

Well, I've been asking for a review of this album for fully 5 years so I'm not holding up much hope, but if someone can review Hateform's Sanctuary in Abyss for the Virgin Review challenge, that would excellent! I would LOVE to read the thoughts of someone like Bastardhead or Autothrall on album I have absolutely adored since it's release in 2013 (2014?). It has no reviews. You can find this album on Spotify, or iTunes. (Or Apple Music.)

Anyone interested in giving us a shot? You can listen to the albums here:

Preliminaries is a bit softer, more prog rock than metal, but it has it's heaver moments, while Firing Lines is definitely prog metal album. Really interested in Your reviews guys!

The new record "Terrene" from international death/funeral doom act Mesmur (US / Italy / Australia) was released this past November, and reviews on metal-archives would be much appreciated. The album was released by Solitude Productions, and includes guest flute performance from Don Zaros of Evoken, as well as cello from the Russian Nadia Avenosova.

If you're into melodic death metal, I'd really appreciate a review of my project's debut EP. It's titled 'Dissonance' by Viridius and it's available on Spotify, YouTube, etc.
It's a pretty short listen clocking in at just 16 minutes. We'd really appreciate any insight and opinions anyone might have. Thank you!

Sanity Obscure (SG)’s ‘Space. Doom. Mystery’ EP is NOW RELEASED! Proceeds will go to COVID-19 charities/fundraisers!!!

Currently based in Singapore and mainly consisting of an international array of musical talent in collaborative fashion for this release, the latest EP channels a spirit which reminds us that creative projects (and everything else for that matter) consist of mutual efforts within our interdependent web of causality. Alongside lyrical concepts and musical themes dealing with our mysterious Omniverse, Sanity Obscure (SG)’s ‘Space. Doom. Mystery’ allows us the space to reflect upon selflessness and interconnectivity. Led by founder KING J05H0!? [guitars/vocals] and supported by Vitaly Rudenko [bass/Ukraine], Ben Wanders [drums/Ireland] & Johan Lindfors [keyboards/Sweden], this EP also features the haunting sounds by electronic artist Microchip Terror [Singapore] and beautiful vocals from Mobius front-woman Heli Andrea [France]. Mixing/Mastering duties are handled by Pyre of Descent’s Dave Swales who previously engineered the previous album ‘Codex Incognitus’ back in 2018.

There are various ways you can experience this EP and help contribute: (1) Stream it for FREE (2) Download it for FREE (3) ‘Name Your Price’ by leaving a donation on Bandcamp. If you only choose option (1) or (2), please share the music/links with your friends. Each donation will be allocated to a different charity/fundraiser involved in COVID-19 each time in order diversify the scope of areas covered. Suggested donation $5 SGD minimum or more if you wish.
