So I am currently reviewing albums from Anathema's metal years and I feel like I want to review 'Eternity' but I already reviewed it through my previous username. Do I have to delete the old review and make another review through the current username I'm at right now or am I allowed to make a second review for the album? My previous profile is punkmetalhead.

I think that might be seen as sock puppeting. Creating multiple accounts and basically doing the same thing more than once isn't a smart idea in general and might lead to a ban for ALL accounts. Save bet would be to erase the old one... or get in touch with a mod for clearification.
But this is not the right thread for that.
This one might be a better address, I guess: https://www.metal-archives.com/board/vi ... 17&t=94071

Would be really cool if someone bothered to review Kolovrat (anything except the 2014 and 2017 ballad albums), Jedem das Seine's latest full-length (the tracks off their 2015 triple split are also very good) or Akzent. I do not have any personal connection to either of these bands but maybe throwing in some names in the reviews could help me to find anything similar (well, I'd roughly describe JDS as Asphyx/Bolt Thrower/Discharge hybrid, Akzent to my ears sound as what would Dissection record after Reinkaos and Kolovrat just a really good thrash with lots of other metal and punk influences.) and also maybe could bring some new recognition to these (IMO) great bands.

REVIEW REQUEST for SANITY OBSCURE (SG)
:: for fans of Thrash, Death, Progressive/Technical and/or Experimental Metal

Here is the album: https://sanityobscuresg.bandcamp.com/al ... cognitus-2

Details: (from band's FB): "‘CODEX INCOGNITUS’ BY SANITY OBSCURE (SG) HAS ARRIVED!
Across parallel universes and inter-dimensional gateways, Sanity Obscure (SG)’s magnum opus ‘Codex Incognitus’ is finally made available on Planet Earth! Bringing together eight warped symphonies consisting of a diverse array of cosmic sounds, this record will provide an intense journey throughout the subtle depths of your infinite microcosmic being! Drawing upon concepts related to paranormal activities, horror/sci-fi classics and transhumanist agendas, Sanity Obscure (SG) blends an orchestra of spontaneous eclecticism, progressive tendencies and atmospheric tenebrosity on this latest effort! Marking the release on this Full Moon in Pisces and Hungry Ghost Festival, may these dirges dispel negative energies and bring fortune always in your favour \m/
"

Note: Sanity Obscure (SG) is a Technical Thrash Metal formed in 2008 in Singapore. The band released their debut EP 'Dethrone the King' in 2008 and then went on to produce their 1st full-length album 'Subterranean Constellation' in 2012 which was mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Dysrhythmia). The album also featured guest musicians Kevin Hufnagel (Gorguts, Dysrhythmia) and Bruce Lamont (Yakuza). After numerous line-up changes and musical transformations, Sanity Obscure (SG) has returned with their 2nd full-length album 'Codex Incognitus' in August 2018. This album features several guest musicians such as Mike Browning (Nocturnus, ex-Morbid Angel), Vinod (Rudra), synth-wave artist Protector 101 and several others! For a mix of Thrash, Death, Progressive and Experimental Metal, Sanity Obscure (SG) delivers music with eclecticism, dissonance and space-like ambience!

I should have a review for you by the end of this month. I like your band's style, right up my alley. "Technomancer" is giving me a good ass kicking right now.

Glad someone else is taking it, because I felt bad giving it a "meh" score but it just didn't do it for me.

Well, I finally got that review done. Sorry about being a week late, but I had to do the discography in full to better round things out.

Sweetleaf was right about some things but the band definitely improved and found its direction, those changes should make for an even better future.

Good luck Sanity Obscure!

Hello, Alphakill has released our second album, Degrees of Manipulation on Oct 28th, 2018. It is 10 songs of tech-thrash metal. We have been compared to bands such as Heathen, Exodus, Kreator, Forbidden, etc. (Especially etc.)

Here are a couple sample tracks.

If anyone is interested in giving it a review, let me know and I can send you the tracks via email.

Thanks.

I have recently ventured myself in the task of releasing someone else's album. Here's the first release: Dallian "Automata".
It's a symphonic death metal band with some twists and (in my opinion) very nice arrangements. I would say it's for fans of Septicflesh, Carach Angren and other symphonic death metal acts.
You can listen to it here: https://dallian.bandcamp.com/releases

Released in November 2018

Thank you

PM Me a download link and I'll get on it within the month if that's alright with you. The best I can promise is an honest and fair review. You seem persistent enough to deserve a review for the effort for a band you're pushing, plus the sound seems a bit up my alley.

I stopped with Black Tribe and Alpha Drone around 2008 when my mental problems were overwhelming me, and there's about 30 reviews for the material I recorded up until then. I restarted in 2015 when I made real progress with therapy, and there's one review by caspian for a Black Tribe demo since that. Tilt the balance!

If you're a fan of Blackened Death Metal, our newest release might be right up your alley.
You can stream and download it for free here: https://plaguepit.bandcamp.com/album/topheth-ablaze
Our first album is also available on the bandcamp page.

Here's a short introduction to the band and the album:

About Plague Pit:

Irish Blackened Death Metal band Plague Pit was formed in 2016 from the ashes of many old, defunct metal ensembles. The band plays a demonic, unapologetic brand of Death Metal that blends old and new influences into a blasphemous mix.

Topheth Ablaze is Plague Pit's second album and takes the uncompromising Black/Death Metal approach of the debut a step further.

Featuring 8 tracks and 37 minutes, the album is for fans of 1990's Death and Black Metal.

Hey, dear friends!

Image

I'm Zbigniew, the pianist of AeonNihilation. We play a groovy mix of Tech, Melodic and Brutal Death Metal and are based in Austria. (No, there are no kangaroos here)

In June 2018 we released our debut album "Flood of Ages". It features some heavy and brutal Slam-esque tracks (Animus, Disfigured Beauty) and also some epic Melodic Death Metal tracks (like Ouroboros or Big Mama).

You can listen to our music for free on Spotify, Youtube and Bandcamp. We would LOVE to get reviews from you guys on our latest release "Flood of Ages".

Here's a direct link to our full album on Youtube:

Stay brutal!

I know for a fact I'm not the only person who thinks Harnessing Ruin is weaker than the other albums, anyone else want to add one? It's not a bad album, but I find it odd it has the same review average as the rest of their albums but when people talk about their discography on the forum, almost everyone agrees it's weaker than the rest.

Haemophagus- Stream of Shadows (Death metal/Grindcore)
https://selfmadegod.bandcamp.com/album/ ... of-shadows

This was actually my favorite album of 2017, and I’d been following this band since their 2014 release, Atrocious. A big old school death metal influence is the main influence on their sound, but they are also just really talented and unique song-writers. I was surprised there isn’t a review on this site yet for that album, so this is my album review request. I know no one personally who has heard the album besides myself, but it is worthwhile.
