I'd like Rexxz, or possibly Swineyedlamb (?) to review both of Timeghoul's demos. With the praise that they get here, I'm surprised nobody has devirginised them yet. Honestly, I've been tempted myself, but I've never really reviewed this kind of death metal before and I'm not really sure I could do it proper justice.

I was planning on it actually. I had a few lines written here and there but I have lately been dropping attention on that stuff to finish up stuff for our album.

Attention raw black metal maniacs! All songs are uploaded onto the official site, or you could order tapes from my label, which is based in Germany. You need to contact our comrade Forstwarg to obtain the tapes.

I am open to constructive criticism. If you are familiar with likes of Eternity, Wolfsmond and Absurd or Forest, Rundagor and Branikald you may like it. I am looking foreword to hear your opinion. I also posted longer version of this message on promotional forum but there was no response. I am not promoting my music here. I am requesting a review.

Cheers.

What the fuck, people? There are absolutely no reviews for Killers (Fra)? :nono:

How can this be? "Habemus Metal", at the very least, is a modern classic.

I've got a few requests; would anybody be interested in reviewing the following?

Axegrinder - "Rise of the Serpent Men"
Amebix - "No Sanctuary: The Spiderleg Recordings"
Dark Faith (US) - "Terrains Vagues"
Pantheon - "Galdur Vikodlaks"

What's up with the lack of reviews for early Lunar Aurora? I would definitely like to see droneriot or somebody like that take on some of those albums.

Yeah, I'd agree that the first singer wasn't too great.

I'd love to see some other opinions than mine on stuff like:

Darkest Oath - Paradise of the Infernal Torment
Order of the Ebon Hand - The Mystic Path to the Netherworld

Both very good.

Also, early Septic Flesh needs some reviews. I'll do that myself sometime, but in the meantime, maybe someone will go down on them?

Cool, it's like Kvedlssanger, but much better, never gets boring. I think you'd appreciate it.

I still wonder why a lot of classic DM acts like the early Pungent Stench, Gorefest and Disharmonic Orchestra almost seem to be forgotten here on MA. Or Acrostichon for that matter (never broke through but were still a common name in those days.)
I have been reviewing all these bands but several releases only feature my own reviews, which is a shame really. They should get more attention.

Statistics and Tragedy - Death Of Millions (be nice if they had one at least)

Echoes of the Rotting - Atrocious Abnormality (sick debut from these guys)

Quick list:

Brutus
Born Headless
Toxocara

Love to see some good ones going for them...

Pretty sure I gave a simple review for this. The drumming is very "Realm Of Chaos" style Bolt Thrower - double bass is pretty much always off time and the cymbles run, but still the overall sound is listenable.

I am sure someone can give it a proper review. I just came across the band by accident, liked their potential and decided, wtf, why not... Looking back, I scored it on potential, on what they could be, and not on what I was actually hearing. Honestly, it was pretty straight forward, generic stuff - but with the right production budget and a serviceable drummer they would put out a quality CD.

Hells Unicorn's hatred for groove is pretty well known. I'd like to hear his opinion on stuff like Corrosion of Conformity and things along that line, which is fairly groovy, but in more of a stoner/doom sort of way.

This is a good request. CoC is a strange band, with all the changes in style they've gone through, and while I do not love groove, their Wiseblood is a good album. Maybe, after all, good groove can exist.

hells_unicorn, try it.

Once a random finnish chick returns the album... You did your part, I will do mine, but the silly woman (complete with tits and stuff) has been keeping the CD for the past three months now.

On the other hand, if the re-recorded Skin Turns to Glass is OK, I'll proceed with it next week.

CoC isn't groove in the offensive sense. It has a groove, but it's more Skynyrd and Sabbath than the more actual 'groove metal'. So I can't see him having a problem with the style. There is a lot of different between Deliverance and Far Beyond Driven.

Edit: If we're requesting hells_unicorn to do stuff, how about some more Virgin Steele reviews? I'm sure such a massive power metal fan and reviewing machine can spare sometime for such excellent music. (This is probably the 400th raving Virgin Steele fanboy comment I've made in the past week, I think I have a problem).

Yeah that'll do. And now for a more humble request, Gutterscream should do some 80s Pentagram (of the Bobby Liebling variety).

I was pondering poking some Bedemon, but Pentagram isn't a bad request. Let me see what I can dig out. Lately I've been on an unplanned Mausoleum kick, but I guess Ostrogoth and Killer can wait.

Ah good stuff, the two albums are actually quite similar in my opinion. They are both quite diverse and almost poppy (in a subtle way), that only struck me today. And of course the both have 'sing the blues' type tracks.
