You already mentioned that, no need to repeat it.

If anyone's in a bad mood then try reviewing Wykked Wytch... if you can actually make it to the end of an album that is.

Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor has 14 reviews with an average of 96. I haven't listened to it indepth, but what I heard was really boring. Anybody want to give it a go?

I've been contemplating doing one for that album when I get more time. Of course I don't really know how well received my other two negative Nevermore reviews were.

Off-Topic, but I think I can finally truly say Sanctuary >>> Nevermore, easily for me.

:D

Empyreal: With so many high-praising reviews all over, I'd say, why not? Heh.

I don't want to torture myself.

I tried their Myspace, they have not changed at all. It won't be a very long review if I do write it.

I was going to give this one a go soon. I wasn't going to bash it- I enjoy the album, but give it somewhere around 70-75 or so. Unfortunately, it's just one of those albums I've found really hard to review. I get a blank whenever I try to write about it. I guess that's what happens when you have an album that's neither that good or bad.

Don't be a sissy. I listened to stuff like Nightwish, Finntroll or "Cold Lake" just for the sake of writing a review. It can actually be a nice experience to remind yourself why you really dislike a band.

Then again, by now I've tried about two dozen times to listen to Ihsahn's "The Adversary" all the way through to write a review, I never ever even made it through half the album once. It's just too much.

Kinda late, I already downloaded it and will probably review it this weekend.

Someone needs t bash the crap out of Nevermore - The Godless Endeavor. 14 reviews with and the lowest review is 90%...

I doubt giving it a 40% would lower the rating too much. I wonder if I'll hate it enough to give it lower then a 20.

Just put in a review then, probably my tenth or so attempt at writing a review for this one. (2 got rejected.. rest weren't good enough). Gave it 74%. Not a bashing, but a more honest review. I don't think it's a crap album, it doesn't deserve a 40%.

I would raise the score for the album by about 20 points if they had a better vocalist. It's that bad.

Yeah, the vocalist isn't too great. I don't think he's terrible though. Musically, the whole album is pretty solid.

Of course, I thought it was clear, the reviewer will have to hear the complete album, so most probably will have to buy it.

The review will have to meet our standards for acceptance too.

Amazingly enough, with a little initiative, one can do a bit of jigging of the link I provided above (http://cdbaby.com/allmp3/blasphemous2.m3u), surmise that cdbaby.com might have a home page with a search engine, and... voilĂ ! There is even a review of higher than average quality therein.

Let the fanboys have their fun... the correction of the score comes later.

More like the inevitable backlash against anything that receives any semblance of widespread approval.

I like to request a review for a band that I have added some time ago and I would like to see a review added:
http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=151252
I can upload the music, because you will hardly find the releases anywhere. :D . The music has an emphasis on melodic Death Metal.

Yes, the easiest way is to upload them in the download threads and ask for review. I got so reviews for at least two bands i have added - Crionic and Brillien, even if I simply uploaded them without further comments there.

I will get round to it at some point, i've been saving Burzum's other material for when I get a bit better at reviewing, at which i'll also re-review Burzum/Aske. I'll probably end up giving it about 87%

Blackwitch - Feelings overthrow

Image

http://rapidshare.com/files/34773164/Bl ... h.zip.html
MP3 with 320 kbps

Blackwitch play melodic Death Metal and the item is quite rare and on the internet it is nearly impossible to find any information on this band.

Anyone interested in writing a review on this?

I certainly wouldn't resent to somebody giving a negative review to Havohej's 'Man And Jinx' EP.

Edit: Meant to say 'Man And Jinx' not 'Black Perversion'.

I have a band in the archives. I released an album a while back, in March. Since then, the other member left, and I'm now unsigned, but I would really appreciate it if someone would review the album for me. I'm interested in seeing what other people think of it.
