Vice contacted Bandcamp about Pornogrind and Goregrind. Making music a scapegoat instead of trying to fivure out the real reason for these tragedies.

Not that porno/gore-grind makes the world any better of a place... but I really wish business would stop all this political pandering and just offer their goods/services.

someone should start a crowdfunding campaign to raise the hosting fees and start grindcamp.com :) I'd do it if I wasn't lazy...

The article literally never once mentions contacting Bandcamp about this type of stuff. The band's stuff was taken down by the main member because he didn't want the shooter to be romanticized through music he performed and he obviously wants to distance himself as much as possible for this stuff.

There may be a discussion about the inherent misogyny in pornogrind and the article touches on that but doesn't really do any deep analysis, but either way your comment about Vice contacting the site and the site reacting by taking pages down is flagrantly false and not mentioned anywhere in this article.

you are a lying twat.

the band deleted their own releases. no other goregrind/porngrind band that I'm friends with had this issue. Stop spreading false information. Vice is trash and I never bother reading anything they do. but MM deleted their own shit to disavow any association with a known shooter.

sorry Bastardhead stated this exact thing basically.

but according to the lyrical matter. everyone should be free to say what they want in this format. if you disagree... don't buy. which is also why no one had heard of this band even in the circles i know that play this music.

Bandcamp is still deleting brutal death metal, grindcore label pages because of the "offensive, obscure, perverse, illegal" content without sending any emails to inform theirs customers. As a fact, all my purchases done on those labels below were removed from my collection as it was never purchased and created again on a different bandcamp page that does not include the previous purchase.

Unfortunately, there isn't any other alternative to buy and support the underground metal scene digitally so I highly recommend to backup all your extreme metal albums purchased on Bandcamp.

Find below the labels that were removed from Bandcamp (and created again on a new Bandcamp page) with there informative message.
1. Coyote Records
posted on their Facebook on 27. November 2019
"I had problems with BANDCAMP some time ago. The page has been deleted.
The new page at the old address is https://coyoterecords.bandcamp.com/"

2. BIZARRE LEPROUS PRODUCTION
Posted on their own website: (http://bizarreleprous.cz/)
"As you have already noticed, BLP bandcamp is no working for about 14 days!!! Originally, we thought someone was hacking and erasing everything, but the situation is little bit different. We received message from bandcamp today, that the profile was blocked because of the offensive, obscure, perverse, illegal (probably Torsofuck) and what other content!!! The question is what to do and at this moment we really don´t think of any viable solution, to please them. So far, the BLP bandcamp will still be out of order and will see if we can find a solution …"

Fun fact: if you try to search for the pornogrind tag on Bandcamp, you get no results. Every time.

Interesting tidbit, I played a show with that band a few months before this incident in the basement of a porn shop. They all wore ski masks and no shirts etc, and one of them was vigorously pelvic thrusting through their entire set. Like, really hard and REALLY fast. It was a guitarist but I don't know if that was him. Small world, weird show.
