Does anyone have any recs for a good EQ setting for the Boss Katana 50? I'm looking for a late 80's thrash metal tone, along the lines of something like Extreme Aggression or maybe Rust In Peace.

The 80s thrash tone has low bass, many mids, and a little bit less highs. So bass on 3, mids on 7 and highs/treble on 5 is a good start. For distortion, you probably want to use the lead channel, and you want to crank gain all the way up to 10.

Thanks, I prefer the brown channel because I think it makes solos more coherent without sacrificing the crunch in the tone.
