Hello All,

I've been using a variety of Tube and Solid State heads for the past couple of years trying to find that "Perfect Balance" between tone, reliability, and weight. I'm coming to the conclusion that a rack setup may be the best option. I'm thinking a good tube preamp in the style of a 5150 coupled with a warm solid-state power amp, and my venerable TS9 pushing the front of the preamp. Does any one have recommendations for this? Am I thinking along the proper lines? My taste for a good sound on my records and live has been an Egnater Renegade 65W head pushed by a TS9 in front, but I have also used the Bugera 6260 and a smattering of Randall SS heads to get *similar* results. Whats the specs on your rack?

if you don't have at least one head-banger riff, I'm not interested
