Hey!
I am used to be a PC musician and I have audio interface and some instruments. I used to have softwares that I didn't bought years before just for a recording then I reinstalled the whole PC. I don't wanna use softwares like that. I wanna be full free, I don't have much money for softwares.
Any help? I need a music production software and some good and free amplifier and drum machine.

Some great stuff in this video. A decent amp sim, a cabinet impulse loader (plus a free impulse response) plus a bass overdrive (record a bass tone into a DI box and throw this on) and a handful of compressors, reverbs and whatnot.

For drums I spend about $70 for Ugritone's Kvlt Drums II which is a pretty damn good deal for what you get. Their Assault Drums package is ever cheaper.

Much respect to deciding to quit stealing software! Because of that, I'll take the time and give you my recommendations:

DAW
Reaper 5. There is no other DAW that is less than $100 that completely crushes and gives professional recording software a run for it's money. Contrary to popular belief, Reaper 5 is not free, but because they don't paywall you or disable your software if you don't pay for it, many people use the "Free Trial Period" indefinitely.

This DAW has high quality stock plugins, so you won't need to really look elsewhere for EQ, compression, etc.

Reaper 5, it's $60.

DRUMS
For drums, you'll want to grab KVLT II or Northern Artillery Drums from Ugritone. Their drums are high quality but not over-processed to death. Both of the products are sub $100 and are completely worth every penny. I have done video reviews for both products which you can see here.

KVLT II is $75.
NAD is $79.

Both drum plugins are self-contained and do not require Kontakt 6.

BASS
If you are recording a real bass by yourself, get the TSE BOD, which is free. Do keep in mind that you need to play bass very evenly and mute strings that you're not playing.

If you want to buy a bass instrument, you pretty much only have one choice: The Loki Bass from Solemn Tones. The reason is that it's the only bass I know of that doesn't require Kontakt 6.

I also did a review about this bass and, if I understand correctly, my 15% discount code is still active.

Loki Bass is $80, but if my code is still active, it'll knock it down to around $68.

GUITAR
Lots of free options here. I've done review videos for some of these as well.

  • Ignite Amps Emissary 2.0
  • Nembrini Audio Crunk V2 Guitar Amplifier
  • Lepou Poulin LE456

As far as cabinet impulse responses, go with God's Cab from Wilkinsin Audio.

TOTAL COST
Basically for $200 you will have everything you need to get started. I wish that was the case for me when I started many years ago.

Good luck!

Hey smart boy, there is no such thing as "full free." $200 is not a lot of money whatsoever. If he is serious about what he wants to do, he'll find $200.
