Hi there, trying to record on audacity. I created a drum loop and whn trying to record the bass the signall arrives to the computer 1 second later after I played it. I just canĀ“t solve it. Of course Iam new to this software

Do you have an audio interface? If you don't and you're just recording into the "line in" or "mic input" jack on the computer, your signal will be delayed massively by the default sound drivers. There's no way around that, so getting a dedicated audio interface with its own driver is what I'd advise. Focusrite has a really god rep for entry-level interfaces, but I've also heard that Behringer makes surprisingly solid stuff for the price range.

Yeah, I'd recommend getting a small Focusrite audio interface. They are pretty cheap, and you should be able to find them used even cheaper. The input on your computer isn't designed for that type of input

Audacity has a latency compensation setting in Preferences to account for this, as detailed here.
