Say, you're having 100 t-shirts made for your band, what's the quantity per size that you're ordering? I was thinking:

F: S6 M8 L6
M: S8 M18 L28 XL18 XXL8

The only other t-shirt we ever made was all unisex but I want to offer more options this time around, hence the girlies (F).

I'd like to hear from some touring veterans what sizes they usually order. I'm not sure that demands are equal in most countries so if someone could shed some light on that as well, I'm all ears!

This is the design by the way:
Spoiler: show

What country are you in? If you are in the USA definitely make sure you have a ton of XLs and 2XLs and even 3XLs. The closer to the coasts you are the more Smalls and Mediums you can prolly get away with. Even if you have women's shits, I've found that lots of women will still buy the mens Smalls anyways because they like to modify them. In Canada we do mostly M/L/XL, but whenever we go south of the wall we need more XL/2XL/3XL.

I would STRONGLY suggest getting a 2nd design. Even if it means doing fewer of each shirt. There is a big difference between "Do I buy the shirt?" and "Which shirt do I buy?" when people hit up your merch booth.

Also make sure you sign up for a Square reader, etc etc.

Thanks for the feedback! We're in the Netherlands. Next two shows will be here. Shirts will also go on Bandcamp. There's still stock of the older t-shirt but I need the guy who has them to bring 'm over. But then we'll have two designs. Good point.

I just googled "square reader" and it looks like the SumUp I'm getting.

Yeah, particularly post covid, Square or equivalent is a must I've found at recent shows.

Size spread looks pretty good from my experience. We always seem to have a bunch of smalls leftover for most of our batches, the L/XL/2XL always go the quickest

Thanks for the input, ColdBecoming. Sounds like it's a safe bet then. I also asked someone from my local scene that does a lot of shows what they think. He also agreed the quantities look about right and added that the further south you tour (in Europe) the more S and M sizes you'll need.

In my experience, you're gonna want a LOT more L/XL than any other sizes
