So, I decided to record my guitar in my PC, instead of using my phone.
When I record with my phone, I use the iRig 2 and that obviously doesn't work in my PC.
Now I want a more "professional" look and I decided to buy an audio interface to connect my guitar in my computer, but I have some questions that need to be clarified before purchasing it.
First, I would like some recommendations of cheap and good audio interfaces. Also, I'd like to know if the majority of these hardwares can be easily connected to a computer without problems.
For the guitar tone, I have in mind some Toontrack softwares, specially EZmix2 (https://www.toontrack.com/product/ezmix-2/), and, on that matter, I wonder if I could use EZmix with audacity instead of buying those fancy ass softwares.
Thanks

IMO, the best interface in the low price range is by FAR the Mackie Onyx Blackjack, it’s got some amazing preamps. Lexicon’s are good. If you’re on a shoestring budget, Behringer’s your friend. You’ll see the Scarlett everywhere, avoid it like the plague, it’s an overhyped laggy, noisy piece of shit.
Whatever you pick (might wanna check the second hand market for availability), make sure that the drivers are compatible with your OS. If they are, setting the interface up should be a breeze.

There are tons of free stuff that will let you achieve a great tone, we could write hundreds of paragraphs about it, but the info is already out there; investigating that part is your homework. Look into IRs, it’s gonna be an important part in getting your sound. Don’t miss any of the Chowdhury DSP effects, the guy’s a genius.

I got into the habit of practicing and recording at home probably about 7 years ago now, started with the Reaper DAW and a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 to good success. Id Say get a cheap DI box (prob 20 bucks) and a used 2 channel Presonus interface (maybe 60 bucks), and use whatever DAW you can pick up the fastest. I found Reaper to be really simple to navigate and configure clicks, time signature changes, tempo changes etc after using FLStudio, Ableton, and Garage band for a few years making electronic music.

My reccomendation for sure is:
PreSonus AudioBox USB 96 Audio Interface
Behringer Ultra-DI DI400P Passive Direct Box
https://www.reaper.fm/ (license is 80 bucks, but for free you can evaluate it forever. recommend buying it if you end up liking it after a few months tho)

In terms of how to get tones, Id try the ignite amps plugins. They're free and you can get really sick tones out of them. I use the ignite emissary as the amp sim and that feeds into an impulse response loader from ignite called NadIR. The impulse responses are basically just files that describe how a speaker cabinet transforms the raw sound coming from an amp (even with real amps it sounds like shit) into what you hear coming from the speakers. People go pretty nuts sampling all sorts of speaker cabinet, speaker, and microphone combinations to come up with responses you can download and use to your taste. I found one that matches my live rig pretty well (Vader 4x12 with eminence legends, usually mic'ed with a sennheiser e906) from http://ryanscabs.com/. Add verb and whatever other effects you like to taste, and I'd recommend saving the settings and chain of effects to a "track template" if you end up using reaper, saves a lot of time once you find a combination of stuff you like.

Hope this helps.

You can't really go wrong with a Scarlett interface, from my experience.

I went from ROKIT 5 to Adam audio t5v which are the best of the cheap monitors.

https://www.audiosciencereview.com/foru ... tor.18122/

I bought ID22 as an audio interface, upgraded from audient sono and scarlett 2i2. The difference was not that big regarding audio interface but the speakers was a big step towards better mixes. Finding the flattest monitors is a challenge. Even treating your room for fuckup up resonances. For room treatment I used sonarworks reference 4 with a related mic. The outcome was mediocre but it helped bit. Using realphones for emulation was helpful as well. The best outcome I've had so far in my room is this

My next goal is when I change house to treat the room with traps and use sonarwork only as an evaluation tool.

So, adam audio are great for mixing. Read the article above and ccheck other monitors there...for this price they are the best monitors you can find.
