For the first time in a couple year, our good ol' audacity fucks up.
When I try to record, the program doesn't play the previous tracks, so I can't record while listening to it.

Anyone would know how to solve this problem?

On a sidenote, no, I'm not changing the program, not just now, when I have heaps of material due. Tried various softwares, and none was easy to use, and I'm not willing to spend weeks figuring out how they work.

I don't use Audacity but that is a common problem in many DAWs and it has to do with the ability to monitor each track. There might be a monitor toggle on the channels, or there may be a universal monitor toggle.

Mmmh, could you explicit on that? I don't have the required amount of technical vocabulary and knowledge to understand it :/
Thanks though.

I just downloaded ther Audacity manual. Check in your Preferences and see if you have "Play other tracks while recording new one" box checked. I'll keep reading to see if there could be any other options.

I'll check if it works tonight, but for now, I'll have to thank you: I actually found this box. Checked.
Cheers Rexxz!

After you are done recording your current project, take the 15-30 minutes it takes to learn how to use Reaper. MUCH superior DAW.

Indeed, I should be moving from the audacity/basic home recording formula. Only have a couple splits to come, next summer will see some professional recording.

Thanks for the help and suggestions.
