I will be getting an ele. guitar and a combo after i finish this school year, and i was thinking about these two...

This guitar: http://www.ecmusic.sk/Gitary-elektricke ... -EXPG58-PB

And this combo: http://www.muziker.sk/Default.aspx?Behr ... od_id;6093

Im planning on playing heavy metal, like Iron Maiden, or trash, like Metallica.

+what strings should I get?

Metallica sure is trash :p
But in all seriousness, the guitar looks pretty decent, especially for a starting guitar, though I can't read the page so I'm not so sure about the specs. The amp looks like garbage though, I'd avoid Behringer if you can... If you want a good combo amp maybe try a Line6? Doesn't sound the best but it's pretty versatile in effects and what sounds you can achieve.

epi jsou slušný kytary, a explorer by měl bejt v poho... ale souhlasim... pořiď si spíš line 6 nebo něco... ;), a určitě, pokud můžeš si ty věci před koupí někde vyzkoušej...

english: epiphone is alright... but you really should buy something else for amp... and try the stuff yourself before you buy it...

Any tips on the line6 combo? I know guitars, but im lost in amps :D

Sadr, mohol by si mi doporučiť niaky český internet obchod s takýmito vecami, ktorý by dovážal aj do Brna? Lebo u vás to je lacnejšie pravdepodobne :D

(Sadr, could you tell me about an czech internet shop with this things, whitch ships them to Brno? Its probably cheaper in Czech)

The line6 combos, especially the spider series (which is what I assume you're talking about) are absolutely terrible, you'd be best to avoid it.

Personally I'd suggest one of the Roland Cubes, especially as a starter amp. It's not quite as versatile as some other modeling amps out there, but it provides a small selection of good tones as opposed to a massive selection of terrible ones. I used to have a micro-cube and loved every minute of owning it.

I'm sorry I don't know any Czech shops though, hopefully someone else can help you.

Ok, whitch one would you chose?

Roland Cube30X ( http://www.muziker.sk/Default.aspx?Rola ... od_id;6521 )

Or an Marshall MG30DFX ( http://www.muziker.sk/Default.aspx?Mars ... od_id;1426 )

I think the roland cube has a bigger variety of effects. But ive heard that Marshall amps are really good.

I would actually say avoid that guitar. It isn't terrible sounding, but I always thought the balance was way off, at least on the Epiphone. the Gibson plays like a champ. If you want something from Epihphone or in general something with a big tone, get the Epiphone Les Paul. Its a great starter guitar and it plays great. It is worthy of the Gibson association. The amp is ok, especially if you will run effects in front of it. However, I gotta say I haven't been in the market for a practice amp in almost a decade, so I don't really know anymore.

(Kytary. cz ships to brno, and musiccenter is there, les paul model isnt bad idea... but i think, that electronics will be similar.... you can try other brands for that price, you could find something... someone told me, that laney isnt bad either, but it was for black metal... dunno)

Sadr, díky, našiel som ešte lepší explorer za nie väčšiu cenu a s lepším vybavením. (EMG 81 a 85 snímače) :) + doprava zadara ( musiccenter.cz/Epiphone-Prophecy-Futura-EX-Black-Cherry/Další-elektrické-kytary/:3:29133 -copy and paste )

(Sadr, thanks, i found even a better Explorer, not very expensiver then the first one, with better hardware. (EMG 81 and 85 pickups) :) +shipping free ( musiccenter.cz/Epiphone-Prophecy-Futura-EX-Black-Cherry/Další-elektrické-kytary/:3:29133 -copy and paste, the link was too big )

I think you have to move the strap button to behind the neck heel, like on the Gibson.
