I'd like to form an internet band, as you might have guessed from the title of this thread. Essentially I want to play some sort of raw, simple thrash/death type stuff with a focus on fast riffs and little else. I'll be happy just playing rhythm guitar, so therefore I need:

a bassist, a drummer (or a competent drum programmer), a dude that can shred, and possibly a vocalist?

I don't have the best recording gear at home so you certainly don't need a pro setup to join this "band". As long as you can record and play in a clean and audible fashion, I'm down.

We'll flesh out more details depending on how much interest this thread gets. Suffice to say though that this will be a fairly relaxed, low-key project, unless if the results end up really good (which is probably quite unlikely).

Influences would probably include: Metallica (obviously), Hellhammer, Warhammer, Bolt Thrower, Slayer, and maybe some Candlemass? I have a few rough songs/riffs ready to go, and if you're another dude with a bunch of ideas awaiting fruition, then perhaps this might be your lucky break!

My voice is a bit wrecked at the moment, but I've been thinking of taking up my harsher vocal stylings again. If so, would you be interested? I can do bass guitar, too, in case my voice doesn't want to behave.

My voice probably doesn't fit with the thrashy stuff, but http://www.youtube.com/user/wyzt if you wanna hear my voice. I'd be up for a little fun if you can't find someone better.

Style's not my forte, but let me hear something you need drums to go with and I'll see if I feel I can contribute anything worthy to it. If you wish it, of course.

I can do Death growls or shriekings. Don't know if you want to recruit me but if you are willing and if my schedule allows, I might join.

To OP...
How are you going about this?..you pass on the recorded guitar file to the drummer and he mixes in the drums and sends it back to you?

If so, I'd like to try out for drum programming if the songs arent too complex. :D

I have a lot of free time on my hands this week, so I can produce results fast.

I'm thinking I might originally whip up some midi files and send them round, get opinions etc, and then perhaps build from the drums up. Easier to record them first.

I can do bass.. have both fretted and fretless and also a bass with 5 strings. I can do both Bm and Dm growls/screaming good, also do them for my own band.

Have a real interface and everything so i can record decent quality. and have tons of studio software, plugins and amp sims so can get a decent sound.

Will be using sonar 8
