Hey - I am looking for information on how Jon Lord gets his signature sound. I am guessing its just a Hammond with distortion? Does any one know what amp/speaker he uses?

He plugged his organ into a Marshall JMP. It's a spectacular sound.

Hmm, any ideas on how I could get a similar sound on a budget? Without resorting to a synth sample that is. I have a Hammond XK-1...

What's your budget? I'm not exactly knowledgable in Hammond organs, I admit.

really all you have to do is plug your hammond into a guitar amp with a distortion channel. or if you have a keyboard amp i supose you could just hook a distortion pedal between the keyboard and amp, though i dunno how good it'll sound. i one time played a casio keyboard set on church organ setting into a little solid state peavy amp and it sounded great.
