https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/T ... sol/983431To describe this track, I would say that this is not simply a juxtaposition of world music and groove metal, nor some gimmick where only the intro or bridge features this stylistic divergence—no, this is an attempt at creating a completely unique variation of metal music which redefines our perception of heaviness and depth: a didgeridoo working in unison with the rhythm guitars, a dueling solo between the ocarina and the Native American flute, the drums rounded out by a percussion section including a Hausa Kalangu and an Aztec death whistle, etc. are all woven into the composition alongside the distorted, downtuned guitars, pulsing drums, guttural growls, and high shrieks we’re all familiar with to create a massive, chaotic soundscape unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
With that said, I can’t really pinpoint enough influential or similar artists to make an FFO section. Fans of experimental, progressive, and otherwise unique metal music will most certainly appreciate this composition.
Given the experimental and unique nature of this song, I would love to hear any thoughts and feedback!
