Hello all,

I am pleased to announce that our March tapes are now available. This month has a very diverse range of music to tickle your eardrums!

VotA-046 - The Myconid - Myconid Madness

‘Myconid Madness’ just may be the most deranged thing you hear all year. Passionately integrating aspects of Punk, Metal, Dungeon Synth, and a quirky take on melody, The Myconid has created a melting pot of sonic lunacy. Grim guitar tones and riffs, minimalistic drum machines/pads, punk-like vocals and a plethora of oddities lead the way for this menacing escapade and the results are addictive. With this insane release, Voices Of The Ainur just may become the voice for the obscure.

VotA-047 - Mortlach - III - No One Dare Enter

Mortlach auspiciously confronts Medieval lamentation through soulful and funereal dirges with prominent aid from jazz-like drum cadences, mournful synth effects and compositions that drone forward like a cold winter’s death march. With touches of synthwave and soaring ambient textures, these tracks communicate a story of despondency and bewilderment that are as meditative as they are unyielding.

VotA-048 - Ithildin - Amusettes Pour Hobbits

The buoyant side of Dungeon Synth is among us in the form of jovial offering, ‘Amusettes Pour Hobbits’. Not quite Comfy Synth, yet not as abrasive as Dungeon Synth, Ithildin offers a light-hearted saga of whimsical synths, superlative compositions and a meaningful atmosphere that makes the Medieval aeon that much more inviting. Grab a spot in the pre-Spring sunshine and enjoy these eight delightful jingles.

VotA-049 - Drast - DOR

On Drast’s mesmerizing contribution to the post Black Metal arena, brutality and chaos is replaced by melody and hypnotic arrangements. ‘DOR’ is an atmospheric spectacle with epic tracks of beauty and pain. These sorrowful tunes of lo-fi nourishment are entertaining and memorable and with four tracks completing almost thirty seven minutes of playing time, this expanded dark universe is the ultimate battlefield of anguish and melancholy.
