Malformity first formed in 1991 and play old school death metal. Not the cavernous variety usually associated with that term, but actual, old school, death metal. They released two demos in 1995 and then went on hiatus. Having regrouped in 2014, they released an EP in 2015. They have played select shows around the Southeast and have destroyed Atlanta more times than we can count.

Malformity are, left to right:

Glenn Sykes (ex-General Surgery, Regurgitate) -- guitars
Eric Snodgrass (ex-Disillusioned, Eridian) -- Bass, Vocals
Dan Ratanasit (ex-Lectures on the Apocalypse, Amoebic Dysentery) -- Guitars, Vocals
Craig Vogel (ex-Lectures on the Apocalypse, Cerunnos) -- drums.

We have received two new tracks from them that we will be sending off to press shortly, for a 7" release in early December.

Until then, make do with their self-released EP, Lectures on the Apocalypse, particularly the second track, "Lost Necropolis".

Reaching deep into Atlanta's underground, we're proud to announce a cassette reissue of Cesspool's 2014 debut record, Septic Entombment. Self-released in a ridiculously limited number, these 8 hymns of grinding death metal have been heard by few, even in Atlanta. As a reference point, the record includes a bonus cover of Terrorizer's "The Dead Shall Rise". In the modern era, awash in releases of little consequence, it is easy for records like this to go un-noticed. We are rectifying that issue.

Cesspool played several shows in Atlanta and then went on hiatus. After several years of silence, they are returning to the stage later this fall, reactivated and reinvigorated.

We're expecting a release in early November. More details will be forthcoming.

With kind permission of NWN, we have sent off Morbosidad's Muerte de Cristo en Golgota to be pressed to cassette. The run will be limited to 150 and should be available for their appearance at Mass Destruction Metal Fest during the weekend of November 3. More details to come as the release date approaches.

Hails to NWN and hails to Morbosidad!

Originally founded in 1991 during the peak of the original wave of death metal, Malformity play death metal reflecting the classic Swedish and Florida sounds of that era. This is not the cavernous variety the term denotes today, but actual old-school death metal. Further shaped by influences in grind, thrash, and doom, Malformity create a uniquely brutal and cerebral sound in the Atlanta metal scene.

Malformity released two crushing demos in 1995 before dissolving indefinitely. The original members and newer recruits remained active in bands such as Regurgitate, General Surgery, Amoebic Dysentery, Dwarfophile, Disillusioned, and Neuroblast, among others. In 2014, Malformity resurfaced from the ashes of Atlanta death metal band Lectures On The Apocalypse and released an EP in 2015.

Playing select shows in the Southeast, Malformity have opened for notable acts such as Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Misery Index, Nordjevel, Imperial Triumphant, Hobbs Angel of Death, Crowbar, and Sadistic Intent. The band has also shared the stage with several up and coming underground regional
acts.

Malformity’s new single, The Rapturous Unraveling, delivers a lethal does of death metal that digs deeps int the roots of the genre. The record is now streaming on our Bandcamp page and the vinyl is available for order at our webstore.

We are very pleased to announce that we will be releasing the debut EP by Misanthropic Aggression. Longtime Atlanta musician Jake Benedict (Repulsory, the mighty Spewtilator, Locust Grove, etc.) founded the project in 2015. In 2017, Chris Hammer and Tyler Peacock joined the band, playing guitar and drums, respectively. Having played drums in all his previous bands, Jake moved from drums to bass and vocals.

Misanthropic Aggression self-released a two-track demo earlier this year. Playing a blackened, crusty variety of crossover, they have since recorded five new songs and a cover. Kevin Sharp (Brutal Truth, Venomous Concept, etc.) has provided guest vocals. The band is currently finishing recording and we plan an initial tape release in September.

You can get a taste of what is to come at their BandCamp page. They'll be playing select shows on the East Coast this fall and winter.

Demiser are a blackened thrash horde, hailing from South Carolina. They released a pair of demos and then toured the East Coast, leaving a trail of debauchery and empty whiskey bottles in their wake. After having recovered from the physical toll of the carnage they wrought, they took stock, fine-tuned the demo tracks, and penned new hymns to mayhem. They are now unleashing these paeans of perniciousness under the title Through the Gate Eternal.

Lyrically conjuring torch-lit, occult rituals of blasphemy and desecration, “Deathstrike” unambiguously stakes out their position on organized religion. "Deathstrike is just that – an aural onslaught on the Catholic church and all of Christianity. We represent all that is unholy. Our maxim is “do as thou wilt” and we take no prisoners. Our message is violence against religion. The nature of our presence is assault, and our words are demonic. Fuck the church, fuck your faith, and may all your saintly houses burn." But the music subverts the expectations that the fist-in-the-face-of-god attitude conjures. This is not primitive black metal, but whiskey-swilling, neck-breaking, speed metal from hell. Speed metal best enjoyed standing around a bonfire, handles of bourbon raised high, howling blasphemy to the stars.

Listen to "Deathstrike" here.

You can hear "Unholy Sacrifices", from Demiser's upcoming full-length Through the Gate Eternal, at The Pit.

We are now sold out of the Hellfire Red edition. It will not be repressed. However you can preorder it from the band at their BandCamp page. Limited copies will find their way to various distros and retailers.

In our third conspiracy with Vimur, we are releasing their new record Transcendental Violence on April 2. Each of three vinyl variants comes in a gatefold jacket with lyric insert.

Again focusing on lyrical concepts of Gnosis, Active Nihilism, and Luciferianism, Vimur chart a third way between traditional and progressive strains of black metal. With their third full-length, Vimur offer seven odes as fists in the face of the mundane. Relentless about touring, Vimur will bring their live show to the road later this year.

Transcendental VIolence is now available for pre-order here.

Out now! The pandemic has messed up a lot of things and this is our first release in over a year. But it will not disappoint.

Six years after their last offering, Tombstalker return with a 4-track EP entitled Age of Darkness. Mixing death metal, d-beat, and the sublime, Tombstalker are celebrating their 15th anniversary with a new record and a new lineup. They'll be heading out on a short tour later this week. The record is now streaming in its entirety at our Bandcamp page.

We are offering the EP on cassette and hand-numbered vinyl, limited to 100. They are moving fast, so grab yours while you can.

The pandemic slow-down is finally breaking for us and we've got several releases slated before the end of the year.

This is next in line -- Sadistic Vision were in the first wave of American death metal bands, but took a nearly 20-year hiatus after releasing two demos in '92 and '94. They reformed in 2013 and have released an EP and a full-length since then. We're releasing their second EP on July 28, on vinyl and CD.
