Dying Fetus is coming to Cleveland with Misery Index, Arsis, Annotations of an Autopsy, and Conducting from the Grave. Tickets are only fourteen bucks and I was wondering if Dying Fetus and Misery Index in particular are good live. If anyone knows anything about the other bands live that'd be swell too, but I'm just curious as I haven't been to a Death Metal show in a long damn time and this is one of the few to which I can make.

So yeah, any input would be cool, preferably recent of any of the bands, but any live feedback at all would be most sexy. Thanks y'all.

Man, if a Metal show is nearby, relatively cheap, and you think it has potential to be good, then is there even a question whether to go or not?

Yes I've been considering this same thing since I might be going to the same show. I saw Dying Fetus at Summer Slaughter last year, and I have to say it was a great set, but short, so I'd love to see them headline. They certainly have energy, and that's all that really matters when it comes to live metal. Never listened to Misery Index; though, so I couldn't say much about them.

I've been told that both bands slay live and that if I have the chance to see either one I should take it at all costs. I haven't personally seen them but I can definitely say my friend enjoyed both alot.

That being said this post was probably pointless...

Never seen Dying Fetus or Misery Index but if that tour bill came near here I'd definitely go, sounds fantastic. I have seen Annotations though, they are quite good live considering how terrible their recorded output is.

Dying Fetus=Destructive pit.
I"m pretty sure they are an intense show; any band that can write such intense beatdowns, is obviously an incredible live band. Misery Index is also a good band, I missed them in New Orleans, but if you've heard their music, I'm sure they are awesome live.

I've seen them both live on separate occasions, and they were very good. I'm not a big fan of Dying Fetus, but they were quite good live, and Misery Index put on a great show opening for Decapitated, as well. Definitely worth your money.

Dying Fetus is one of my favorite live metal bands, and I don't even like their recorded material that much. Super worth it.

I'm going to be seeing them. I've heard they've got destructive pits, which I figured since the band's material is relatively intense, so it should be a good time.

I also don't mind Arsis. In fact they're the main reason I wanted to go. I've checked their setlists and although their recorded stuff is hit or miss, they play most of their better songs off of A Celebration Of Guilt + their first EP, meaning the best songs from their best releases and none of that shit from We Are The nightmare.

Is Arsis above or below Misery Index on the bill?

I'd go just to see Arsis. Can't say I care about the rest of the bands.

I saw Misery Index a couple of years ago, they were pretty energetic, so I would definitely recommend seeing them live.

Both bands are quite good on the stage, so go and enjoy it!!!

And as another guy has written if the concert is near and the price is not excessive it is worth to go. A metal concert is always a good plan hehe.

Indeed. It was $82 here in Wellington for just Nile and Hate Eternal. $150 at the door, from what I heard.

EDIT: That's a pretty killer line-up, btw.

They're above I believe.

Apparently Conducting From The Grave and Annotations Of An Autopsy are playing some dates on the tour as well. They're bound to disappoint despite Annotations' supposed change of direction towards real death metal with their new album.

I would say I'll let you know after June 6th but I just saw they play in Cleveland a couple of nights before, I'm going to see the same tour here on Long Island.

Definitely go to see Fetus. I saw them a couple of summers ago at Summer Slaughter with Necrophagist, Carcass, 1349 and Suffocation, it was fucking awesome. My friend got his ass kicked in the pit and I nearly broke my neck headbanging. Sick fucking show.

Saw these cats on a megabill in Austin with Cannibal's tour. It was my 5th time seeing Fetus - they NEVER disappoint. First time seeing Misery Index and it was goddamn perfect! Conducting From The Grave and AOAA both suffered from deathcore syndrome, quite profoundly. Arsis were meh, they were playing without a bassist.

Arsis's performance has went down, they were a dissapointment.

It was a good show, i'd definitely recommend going.

Really? Damn, I was really looking forward to Arsis.

I'm going to this show today (26th), it should be fun, I'm meeting up with the usual friends that I've met at previous concerts in the past. This will be my 3rd time seeing Fetus, and I can assure that they are amazing live.

Have only seen Misery Index, they kicked lots of ass, their drummer is a fucking machine...

I got in a fight and beat the piss out of several hardcore douchebags during their set, they chased me outside while I was being carried off by cops and gave me a shirt, pretty fucking cool dudes!
