Out of curiosity, is there a reason The Burial is blacklisted? Their new album has a few core influenced moments, but it is certainly more metal than anything.

I've discussed this matter with Azmo, we agreed that it can be resubmitted, haven't heard their earlier stuff but the songs from the last one are metal enough.

Alright, I'll make a submission as soon as it's removed from the blacklist, seeing as it is still on there.

Can the band Arctic Sleep be reconsidered for addition into the archives? They sound pretty heavy to me IMO.

Here's an example of their sound:

I checked several songs from all their albums and they aren't acceptable. They have some heavy parts, but the post rock, drone and space/atmo rock parts are more important. So no. The song you linked is one of their heaviest too, not a good example of their sound.

Please, unblacklist it. If it isn't metal (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbLJBEBeu18), Hypothermia, Trist, Life is Pain and Through the Pain aren't too. Also, it's a side-project of Nachtzeit.

Here's the complete tracklist of the first album of Gli Atroci (except monologues):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-Yy_BVMkB4 (I'm not sure, sounds like hard rock but also a little heavy metal...)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EVZDhfAa_M (Heavy metal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCC9cKv9YfI (Not sure if heavy or thrash metal...)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dia-8HebSOk (Power metal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGdDx_lgyOA (Seems like death metal...)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNrsF840 ... re=related (AOR)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzDAfaU4TJo (Power metal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq7wD5bY ... ure=relmfu (Thrash metal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5njMBY6 ... ure=relmfu (AOR)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tn7rPu6 ... ure=relmfu (Thrash metal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNuFYIdL ... ure=relmfu (Power metal)
Yeah, the 85% of the album song are metal, and so i don't understand why they can't be accepted...

Hi, you rejected the band i submitted (Madicide) because of no evidence of physical release, what sort of evidence do you need? also the demo's released were extremely limited (only around 100 copies of each one were released) thats why you cant find evidence online

A picture, a link to a label, you know anything that's actually serious and true.

It's blacklisted for being "dark ambient". Unless they have a new release that's metal it will stay that way.

Why has Nightpray been blacklisted, when they clearly meet all the criteria?

Why was Agents of Oblivion deleted? They're a side project of Dax Riggs from Acid Bath and borderline Psychedelic metal.

It's not a side project of Acid Bath, me and Azmodes decided to delete them for this reason.

A question about this, that song Give Lee Give Lee Rock Lee is an original single (not a cover) of Animetal USA, and it is totally metal (that song) also was released in CD format.
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SICL-267

If this band http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Jos ... %ABa/21427 was accepted based in one original song, then Animetal USA possible should be accepted based on Give Lee Give Lee Rock Lee. true??

All songs of Animetal USA are totally metal.

WTF?

Yeah, fuck that. We don't accept bands based on a single song out of a full-length album, let alone a single "original" song among an album of covers. Honestly, while I've never listened to that project or its album, if it is the case mentioned in the additional notes, then I will be reviewing it right away. We do accept under special circumstances non-metal side-projects from notable musicians or for projects that might be deemed a part of the metal scene... and, granted, that might apply for this project regardless. However, the policy suggested in the additional notes is highly suspicious. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

EDIT: It's worth noting that we already have done-to-death any discussion on Animetal's acceptance here, and they're not going to get accepted.

No, you havent discuss this, about Jose Andrea being accepted for one only song and Animetal USA not. Also to be honest I dont care if Animetal USA is accepted or not. it just bring my attention that. what is the difference about that two bands??

Uh, the fact that "Jose Andrea" would never have been accepted based on one song, let alone one song from a full-length album. That isn't our policy; that's the whole point I was trying to get across in my last post before this one. If that was the only reason it's on the archives, "Jose Andrea" is gone. Animetal would never be accepted based on that criteria, because that criteria is wrong! As far as we are concerned, whoever put that message in the additional notes of "Jose Andrea" might have been a user who didn't know any better... but I'd like to find out if that is in fact what happened.

Hi! i saw that the band Mangiabanane from Italy was blacklisted. At the beginning they were a crappy noisecore band, not metal and for me also not music. Later after they're split-up, they become active again and they released a full-lenght CD, still grindcore with noise shades, but now there's music and there are death metal guitars and drums. i have some live videos for provide it, for me they have strong death metal influences. Here the videos, you can judge, i'm only asking.. so please don't insult like sometimes happened to me when i asked things on that thread.

As Derigin said, Jose Andrëa may be an oversight and shouldn't have been accepted.
As for Animetal USA, a little searching would have given you these, among others:

Hey guys, I just checked on MA and saw that Shattered Skies from Ireland had been blacklisted. Is there a reason for this? There's a physical copy of their Reanimation EP around (I got a copy of it yesterday, can upload a photo if need be. Granted, it's slipcase, but still something) and as for metalness, well I'd say they comfortably fall under the "melodic prog" genre, with those who wish to daub "djent" on their doors also able to do so.

Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/shatteredskiesband
Bandcamp: http://shatteredskies.bandcamp.com/
YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvt_O8dNAaE
Store: http://shatteredskies.bigcartel.com/

Apologies if there's a duplicate request of this, but searching this thread or the band name didn't bring up anything.

You guys rejected a band I wanted to upload called Golgotha (from chile). And you wanted a song as a "proof". Not all bands want their material on the net. Besides Golgotha released just one demo in early 90's, just in tape format, it's imposibble to find something of them on the net.

The proofs I can show you are the scan of their demo released JUST IN TAPE. (1993):

http://i49.tinypic.com/2nurfy1.jpg

And the flyer of Golgotha's label:

http://i45.tinypic.com/2ibnwpx.jpg

It i hard to find something else of this guys on the net

Hi folks.
I know Blue Cheer's metalness has been discussed to death and I would agree with you that they're not a metal band, but I just discovered a more recent album that they released in 2007 called "What Doesn't Kill You...". The album sounds to me like a combination of doom metal and stoner rock plus a couple of blues songs and I was wondering if any of you has ever listened to it. I'll leave samples from youtube:

The album sounds more rock than metal. Not really familiar with their older material or the past discussions on the band, but that album isn't enough, in my opinion.

What I heard (four songs) sounded like AC/DC with death growls most of the time.

Prog/djent alright, but not predominantly metal.

It's features ex member of Black Metal Behexen and if they sounded like AC/DC I wouldn't bother listen to it at all, I can't stand AC/DC or anything NON METAL, I don't know how you can categorize a band differently than they call themselves Death "n' Roll/Rock pretty much. You support rock bands, crossover bands and even some punk bands so so no reason why not to include them. Hell you have Hank Williams III on archives.com ?????

Motorhead calls his music rock and roll, should we take his word? hell, some bands are calling their music "trash metal"...Hank Williams III has metal albums and he was in Superjoint Ritual before, so....

Even if they have an ex member of Behexen, it's not automatically a side project band, I'll talk about it with the other mods though.
