Creepy manmade burial ground in New Mexico.

All the people had just left the church to walk 5 miles for some homage, it was very creepy as well.

I've been meaning to get pics of a few places around here outside of town. However, there's been lot's of rain up in the mountains, so until the weather dies down I'm not taking the car deep into the hills; like at all.

Flash floods are surprisingly common out here.

it's not surprising at all mate, the ground can't absorb the moisture so it just blasts over the top, taking unwary jeep driving metal photographers with it :getout:
have you ever had to dig a hole out there? maybe to plant a tree or bury a pet [or an annoying friend]

^why would a myserious man, living in the desert and immune to it's hardships, who can survive days without water subsisting only on metal, need a companion?

That's part of his whole allure...

Those pictures have real atmosphere, sometimes low megapixels are better for landscapes.
I can imagine a troll walking down that path (stream?).

I was just thinking the same actually. The problem is that stretched to my 1920x1080 screen it's intolerably blurred. Is there any chance you could maybe send me the 10th picture of your last post in original size, forestcorpse? I would really appreciate it.

Mine is 1920x1080, too. I just figured he'd have these at 7 mb or something like my photos are before resizing.

Gorse sounds right, Byrain's the expert.

Yes forestcorpse especially, but everyone who posts here really; including your mountains. It's a tree root, it looks like walnut but I didn't realize what the tree(s) were Image

The rain is finally moving into the valley so next week I should be able to grab some pics. In the meantime behold the epic view that is my front yard.

I can however say your last picture of the orange mushrooms looks like a Gymnopilus species.
